hcg levels are confusing me

i had a misscarriage on 2/4/07 i naver had a period following this and had a positive test on 8/5/07 i went to the doc on 9/5/07 she done a hcg blood test,the result came back today that my hcg level is 509 the doctor told me i may be having a multiple pregnancy,or that when i misscarried imay have been carrying twins and lost one or that i lost the baby and not the placenta they call this a molar pregnancy,i am booked in for a scan in the early pregnancy unit for mon or tues next week but i am now really worried,i have had a twin pregnancy before and lost one i have had seven misscarriages and i have four girls i dont think i can carry boys what is a nomal hcg level and should i be worried

I take it you had a natural mc? Did they do a follow up to be sure all tissue had passed? Did they check hcg after mc to be sure was falling? If not, did you ever take an hpt and get a neg result after mc?

Hi like you i am confused i m/c 21st March twins and still haven't had my first period. Did a pregnancy test which is showing positive. Went to the doctors who took blood which came back that my HCG levels are 245 was told this is a new pregnancy. I have to wait until Tuesday to see if they have doubled. feel the same thing is happening to me. Try and keep positive keep us posted x

I too have HCG problems, mine are through the roof and they are saying it's either  a multiple pregnancy or a molar pregnancy, I go for an internal u/s tomorrow (I've had 2 regular ones and we can see a sac, but no baby). My period dates are messed up too though, I don't know whether to go with my 2/27 period or my 3/25 period (that one was really light and short, so Dr. at first was taking this as blighted ovum, but HCG keeps climbing). My HCG on 4/24 was 20,000, on 5/3 HCG was 51,427 and on 5/11 = 102,122. I hate that there's more girls than just me going through this confusion. I'll keep you updated, I'll be looking for your updates too.
