hcg levels

by angeldevil1971, Mar 23, 2003 12:00AM
can anyone tell me what range your hcg levels should be to keep a baby where it is supposed to stay.  My last IUI didn't work because my levels were very very low even with injections to help.  thanks

HCG levels can vary from person to person.  There really isn't ever a "normal" range.  What you need to look at is if they are doubling every 48 to 72 hours.  Even if they seem low, if they are doubling you should be fine.

right on.  And, it isn't the hcg levels that cause the pregnancy to "take", but a healthy, growing pregnancy that PRODUCES hcg in levels that rise in a fairly predictable pattern.
