I haven't been through it myself, but I think with natural m/c it takes a while for the numbers to go down.  I think with d&c they go down quicker.  I had an ectopic which is kind of similar.  I was given methotrexate to disolve the pg.  They tracked my hcg for two weeks.  Initially it went up but then it slowely started going down.  At the end of the two weeks my tube started to rupture so they had to remove it.  After than my hcg went negative within a couple of days.

Sorry for you loss.. Good luck..

I had a natural m/c and my levels dropped very quickly. Everyone is different, but your levels shouldn't begin to rise again if you have had a m/c. I had my levels done on a Saturday and they were in the 600s and I had my m/c the next day and my levels dropped to 290. It only took me 8 days afterward to go back down to 0. If you haven't already had a vaginal ultrasound, I suggest you push your doctor for one. If your levels aren't dropping there could still be some tissue left in your uterus, which can cause an infection and possible fertility problems in the future. Have they said anything to you about a possible tubal pregnancy? With a tubal your numbers can go up and down like that. My best friend had an ectopic and ended up loosing a fallopian tube. I don't want to scare you or anything, but if your levels aren't dropping they should be taking that more seriously. I wish you luck and I am very sorrry to hear about what is happening.
