I am just wondering how long it takes for Hcg to leave your body after a miscarriage.. Like I just miscarried on October 27 and I was 9w 6 days and my hcg level was around 21000.. is their any in my body still .. like if i were to take a pregnancy test, would it come out as negative or positive?
It takes different amounts of time for different ladies.I am thinking at this point you would still test positive, as you were several weeks along, and it has only been a week and a half.
That being said, however, I miscarried at 16 weeks and my HcG was back to non-pregnant levels at two weeks after the miscarriage. So you may or may not still have HcG left. It really just varies from womanWomen's way to womanWomen's way.
I am sorry about your miscarriage.
I've read it can take anywhere from 1 to 10 weeks (although it took a friend of mine 4 months), depending mostly on how high your hCG levels were at the time of the M/C or D&C, and also how far along the pregnancy was. I had a D&C on 9/21 at 11 weeks following a missed abortion; my hCG levels were 91,000 the day before the procedure. Exactly five weeks later, they were down to 24, but still not zero. I'm going to have them checked again this Thursday (seven weeks post-D&C); hopefully, they'll be down to zero. Ironically, though, my period returned at 4.5 weeks, so it *is* possible to get your period *before* you ovulate following a D&C. Good luck.
It might take more than 4 weeks since your HCG levels were so high. Did you have a natural m/c or D&C or bligted ovum? I'm asking, because when you wait for it to happen naturally the whole process might take a little longer.
I am in the same boat, miscarriage two weeks ago 6 weeks. dr's removed tissue, did innervaginal sono's to make sure i was cleared. last week it was 857, went today and won't know results till tomorrow... i am so hoping for zero. but i am getting discouraged by all the stuff i am reading online.
