hcg question

My first hcg level was 71 aprox.3 weeks ago, then 1700 2 weeks ago, then this past monday they were 39,500, however when i had an u.s. last thursday, they didn't see fetal heart beat, my ob said it could have been early to do it, the u.s. said i was 5 1/2 weeks,  i am having another u.s. this friday, which will put me at 6 1/2 weeks, with the hcg level up will they be able to see the fetal heart beat????????

They might be able to.  A lot depends on the type of equiptment used, the skill of the user, and your anatomy.

Sounds like your levels are rising, so that is good.

HCG levels are not necessarily an indicator of heartbeat.. your levels are good and high.. some women never get that high, many get alot higher.. I'd relax.. they almost never find a heartbeat before 6 weeks.. usually not till 7 weeks and I say usually.. everyone is different.

oh.. my HCG was only 29,000 at 7 weeks and we saw the heartbeat so HCG varies ALOT.. she said it was so light and flickering, it hadn't been beating long :)
