hearing heartbeat with doppler

Tomorrow I go back for my 2nd appointment with my OB.  I'm 11 wks tomorrow.  has anyone NOT heard a heartbeat with a doppler at 11 wks and everything still turn out ok?  I guess I'm nervous b/c it was at this appointment last october we couldn't hear a heartbeat, and it turns out I miscarried.  I can't help but be nervous. I know it doesn't help anything, but I can't help it!

Hi, my doc didn't get a HB on a doppler till 14wks! With 3 of my previous pg and the same with this one! So it was all ok.

I had 3 m/c after seeing the HB at around 8-9wks, i guess it's easy to say and i really know how you feel but Try and not worry.

Good luck for tommorrow and i hope you do get to hear, but don't get to freaked if you don't. X

My old doctor tried to hear my babies heartbeat with a doppler at 14wks and couldn't!!!! He sent me for a u/s the same day. Turns out baby was fine, in there moving around and everything! :) Guess it depends on the doctor and doppler. Good luck at your appointment. Keep us updated.

I am in a very similar situation.  I had no HB on doppler at 9 wk (but that would be unusual to hear it that early anyway) but because I had a m/c at 19 wks that happened the same way (dr. could not get HB on doppler..sent me for u/s and baby had died) my Dr. has told me to come back at 11 wks (this thursday) for another doppler.  She said if we can't hear it she will send me for an u/s that same ....not because it would mean something is wrong....just for easing my mind.  From talking to a lot of women on here, it seems that many could not hear it on doppler till the @14 wks.  My Dr. is just doing this for me because I am a pain in the ass!

This time I heard it at 11 weeks, other 3 didnt till 12-13 weeks.
