I didnt get it with DS until like 4 months or so.  I never had it before so I didnt even know that is what it was until I asked DH...LOL!!

Hey on and off cramping is normal right?  This pregnancy is already different from when I was pg with DS.  Come and go symptoms and some cramping.

I have I am talking mild cramping and I figured it was just my uterus stretching and now I have it so severe now it is making me double over.  I called the dr and I am waiting for them to call me back.

OMG are you ok?  I only get them once in a while.  They arent bad though so I think its ok.  I was just curious if anyone had them this early on...I am only MAYBE 5W 3D.  I hope everything is ok.  I cant believe they are going to call you back and couldnt answer your question on the phone.  Or did you leave a message??

I always have to leave a message.  Yeah they are something today I never ever had them like this before.  Unless my uterus is growing that  much and that fast.  I don't know though.

I got my heartburn before I even knew I was preggo.I guess thats how I found out because the only time I get it is when I'm preggo. Now I have it almost every day. sometimes so bad it makes me gag. Best of luck to you

Yea I wish we lived closer to eachother too.  That would be so cool.  There are a few people I on here I wouldnt mind meeting in person.  Its strange how we are all from different parts of the country and we were brought together for one reason.  You live way out east right?

It is weird but so cool.

I live near Allentown PA in a small town called Kutztown.  Hear of Kutztown University?
Blank
Avatar_f_tn
No I never heard of that but I have heard of Allentown.  I live in Ford City....small town about 45minutes North of Pittsburgh.

TUMS is my new best friend! LOL! My heartburn kicked in at about 6 weeks and it just keeps getting worse.

TUMS has been a life saver for me too. I have had acid reflux for many years. During pregnancy, I seem to get it more often, and around 20 weeks it started getting really intense for me. I have gotten by with just TUMS so far and that seems to help me. There are some other over the counter things you can take too, but be careful because there are a few things that are NOT recommended to pregnant women for heartburn. (I think Pepsic is bad, but ask a Doctor to be certain). I've been told by a few doctors that TUMS is fine during pregnancy.

The worst heartburn I've ever had in my life was in my first 4-7 weeks of pregnancy.  It would wake me up at night and I would have to sit and wait for it to calm down.  Sometimes eating helped, sometimes drinking a lot of water helped.  Once, using a thumper-type massager on my back helped!  I took liquid Mylanta (original formula) once, -- even though it is not highly recommended during pregnancy, it is not absolutely forbidden -- and it did help.  I've otherwise used papaya tablets, which are fine during pregnancy.  (Don't know if Tums is considered safer than Mylanta.)  I'm at 13 weeks and (knock wood) this hasn't been happening in the last three weeks or more.  But if you are doubling over, there might be something more than heartburn going on.  Good luck, I'll be thinking of you.  Annie

I had heartburn before I even found out I was pg. I have had a history of it though so I really didn't think naything of it. Once I got into my 5th week though, watch out! I get it from everything. I drink water I get it, eat a cracker, a piece of bread, I get it. Forget pasta and pizza sauce! I have already gone through almost two bottles of TUMS. The Smoothie flavored onces didn't really work. I just stick to the original. I carry this huge bottle in my purse wherever I go.

Has your doc called back yet!? If not, I seriously recommend going to the ER tonight! I havnen't had cramping like that. I've had stretching that if I sit up or stand up too quicky I feel like I am gonna rip in half, but never cramping like that. Please keep us updated and we will all be praying for you and thinking about you!

I have such bad heartburn all the time. It was one of my first signs that I was Preggo.

Froggies~ Please let us know how you are doing, I was out all day & just saw your posts. Now I am worried about you. My sister said she had bad cramps into 2nd trimester. I didn't have any with DD but have some with this preg. I get bad back pain but on both sides in the middle of my back. Hang in there!

Hey!  I  know Kutztown.. I grew up in Easton.  My uncle had a farm near Kutztown.  Small world, huh.

I had the same kind of bad cramping when I was at five weeks, it got so bad one night I was curled up in a ball on the floor.  Next day it pretty much went away, and when I went in for an ultrasound all was well.  The cramping is now gone, don't worry too much it does not necessarily mean anything is wrong.

They did find a 5 cm cyst on my ovary, which may have caused it, maybe this is what's happening to you?

what ever happened to froggies??

My heartburn didn't start until I was well intop my 2nd trimester.  By the time I gotto my 3rd (I'm 31 weeks now) it became unbearable.  I also have acid reflux.  Eating is difficult and so is sleeping.  At times it wakes me from a deep sleep (when I can get into a deep sleep).
Tume doesn't work for me so my doctor said I culd take Zantac and/or Prilosec.  Also, don't lay down until at least a half hour after you eat and eat smaller meals rather than large ones.
Good luck.
