help 1 week late 2 negative hpt could i be pregnant

help anyone that has answers I need them I am one week late my period was due on July 28 and its now august 4 and still no period for the last couple of days i was having what felt like slight period cramps then today they stopped and I started having what felt like a slight pain in my left side of my pelvic area some people have said that could be caused by ovulation so we took advantage of that this afternoon. I took two hpt saturday and they said negative i don't know if i should wait another week to take another or not please help. if you have any answers let me know please

well if you started having "what felt like a slight pain.....some people have said that could be caused by ovulation" i would say you tested WAY too early.

Hi Dear if your period was due on the 28th of july and your cycles are regular, then wait and test again on Saturday and then still if nothing, you may want to have a blood test done, sometimes HPTs arent as accurate as we think and some women have said that they didn't show BFP until 2 weeks late. thanks i was doing some research and on one site it was talking about hpt's and said that sometimes they don't even detect it until someone is 2 to 3 months pregnant
