i read online that when ttc after BDing its good to lay on your back with a pillow under your lower back and then i read on another site that it doesnt really help so my question is does it or does it not work, has it worked for any1 here? i usually do just because i know it may not work but it wouldnt hurt to try. my only worry is that i will lay that way for 30min to an hour after BDing and then as soon as i get up it seems like everything comes out. (sory dont mean to be gross)is that normalNormal saline flush. i mean i no its gonna eventually come out but my only worry is that it isnt going where it needs to go. sometimes a few hours later more will come out as well. is it normalNormal saline flush for it to come out so soon. im not sure if it all comes out right away because like i said usually a few hours later more will come out so would that mean i am doing something rong? what should i do about this?
I can't tell you if it works or not, but obviously not doing it works. Think of how many unplanned pregnancies there are. Obviously, you don't have to do the pillow prop. When I get pregnant we did use a pillow on one of my fertile days, but not on the other. It would be impossible for me to know which time worked. Bottomline is: it probably doesn't hurt, but who really knows if it helps. Try not to worry about what comes out. That's very normalNormal saline flush. I know how frustrating TTC can be. Hang in there and try to relaxe. Just remember, odds are better that you will eventually conceive than you won't.
ya i usually take a nap after just so nothing will make me wanna get up. i usually lay on my back but thanks for letting me know about trying to lay on my belly to. sometimes i will go from laying on my back to laying on ym side. my doc told me that my cervix is pushed over to my left side and when i got my IUI done the doc had a lil trouble he actullay had to push down on my belly to get the instrument (not sure what its called) used to turn to my cervix. either way thx for all the advice :)
I asked my Doc this question and she said "when you ovulate your mucus plug becomes pourous like a sponge and the sperm can get through, unless you have ovulated the sperm cannot get through the plug, the only reason lying with a pillow for a few minutes will help is because when he first ejaculates the spems is of a thicker consistency, after a while the heat from your body make it more runny and by lying on your back for a while you give it change to sort of melt and get through the mucus plug" hope this helps.
lots of baby dust!!.........
i no its not proven to work but being that dh has low count im trying to do a lil extra for the spermies to get there :)
thx every1
