herbs to induce labor

does anybody have any advise on a natural ( herbs) induction of labor?  I am 38 weeks with a big baby 8 ans 1/2 lbs by sonogram already.  Previous c-sec prevents me from have drugs induced labor and I want to avoid another c-sec so i'd like to keep baby as small as possible.  Thanks

STOP!!!! Herbal meds to induce ;abor aren't going to make your body react any differently then pitocin!! How do you think labor is induced? Aghhh! Sorry, it flips me out that while so many women want to do everything right  by their baby in pregnancy are so willing to sacrfice that to get a quick fixwith herbal remedies. There are many reasons to avoid those kind of remedies, most importantly that you do not know if that is indeed what you are buying or if there are other things added in. Herbal remedies are not monitored by the FDA, so there is no gaurantee that a bottle of pills claiming to be ginger even is ginger or that it isn't ginger mixed with any number of things.

If you really want to induce labor naturally, stay away from herbal remedies unless dealing with a professional. Even then I would avoid it, same with while TTC. Freaks me out!! Sorry, seems like we found another peeve of mine : )

To induce labor naturally you can try having sex, walking a lot, things lkke that. If the doctors were too concerned about it, they would have induced you by now. Besides, weight estimates have been known to be off by a pound or more, so don't stress too bad they may be wrong.

Please do not try any herbal remedies to induce your labor, that could be far to dangerous for you and for your baby.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I had a c-section with my first and my second was induced. I had no problems. Why will they not induce you? I hear it happen a lot...With no complications

my cousin was enduced cause they told her that her baby was 8lbs 6oz and he ended up being 7lbs 11oz, dont beleive that..

I am now pregnant with my 6th child, and I also have very large babies.....8.6, 10.8, 9.13, 9.7 and 9.10.  I had my second by c-section, but have had all the rest VBAC and I have been induced with all of them a week early.  My doctor just makes sure that I am monitored very closely and I'm not allowed to walk around during labor....but all have been delivered easily and safely.  I was also curious why your physician would not induce due to previous c-section.

i was just wondering if anyone could answer my question im 38 weeks pregnant and have just found out that my baby has microcephaly and they dont know exactlly wats wrong untill my baby is born i want to be enduced into labour if i want it that bad do they have to go by my wishes and enduce me? thanks charlie

I heard that herbs could be potentially dangerous.  Check with your doctor beforehand
