herpes outbreak weeks before due date
I had herpes for over 9 years. I am pregnant and my due date is June 2. I currently have an outbreak that started 2 days now. Will it go away before I deliver, and if so will it be safe to give birth normally? What is recommended for the minimum amount of days to give birth normally after having an outbreak? Will this outbreak affect the baby being so close to my due date? I have two other kids who were not effected by this because I never had an outbreak so late into pregnancy.

They will do a C-section, it is not safe to deliver vaginally during herpes outbreaks, do not worry, all the best

Talk immediately with your doctor.  Most put you on suppression therapy in the last month or so of pregnancy, hoping to prevent just this thing.  You may indeed wind up with a C/S if you go into labor soon.

But tell your doctor as soon as possible.
