for the last week every night I have been getting really bad indegestion. I don't want to try any meds, and tums didn't work for me before I was pregnant. I have tried MilkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal, Water, Ice cream, toast. Pretty much anything I can think of that may settle it down. It usually works... this week no such luck. Is there any other home remedies that anyone has tried to get rid of it, or settle it down?
I dont know but I will keep reading this because I have it horrible and all I do is eat Tums. The only thing that has helped a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys is that I sleep sitting up. I have 6 pillows - sitting up and on my side.
dont worry it will stop when the babys born hehe, jk i had very bad heartburn, i used mallox(berry blend) i would drink a small bottle a week,(my doc said it was fine) and it worked some what, honestly, nothing will make it go away entirely until delivery, well thats what it was like for me...oh the joys of pregnancy;)
Club Soda is like fizzy water, like soda with no flavor. Hard to explain. If you have perrier there, that would work, its the same thing. Good luck!!!!
I had it so bad in my first trimester (and it's now coming back), that my throat was burned causing me to go through 4 doctors to figure out why I felt like I had strep or mono - could not eat/drink due to the throat being so swollen I could not swallow. Now, I'm sure this is an extreme case (and I know of a few out there who've also had this), but do not take it lightly. It can permanently damage your throat. They think mine could be permanently damaged. Yuck. I was on Prilosec - my OB said that and Zantac do the same thing, and the only reason Prilosec is not in the same category as Zantac (met with her yesterday) is because different trials were done on each. That said, I still chew tums all the time. Diet change does help. Good luck!

I've been having burning indigestion since week five, and I'm still trying to find a right balance of foods. So far, what's worked for me:
Carrots
Honey Dew Melon
Grapes!
Toast/Toast with Jam/ Toast with cheese
Something fizzy to drink
Potatoes/Potato salad
Eggs
all in small portions
What hasn't worked:
large meals
stuff with onions or garlic
corn chips
anything really salty or really sugary
Chocolate
Best of luck, I hope you find the miracle combination!
