how much nuclear medicine can a baby take

I have a friend that just had a downs sysdome baby with a lot of medical issue the baby was born about a month ago and all ready had 4 nuclear medicine treatments 2 to check to see if the liver is work both times both time came back inclusive one for a bertium G.I. track check then one for to see of he can have a surgery. I'm trying to find out how is to much so i can let then know

The less the better in most cases, but sometimes the benefits outweigh the risks. If your friends are worried about the radiation levels, they should ask if any of the tests can wait a while. Some may be too important to hold off, but if it's not an emergency, scheduling the tests several weeks apart would be better. This gives the body time to get rid of the radiation.
