hydrops... ? possibly parovirus epidemic

My daughter is 21 weeks pregnant and she was diagnosed with hydrops ? cause.  Likely anaemia.  She was told she is to have a blood transfusion given to the fetus.  My question is there another alternative besides blood transfusion she can have?

The best people to advise you on this would be your daughters doctors.  If there is indeed hydrops, and the fetus is severely anemic, then yes, a transfusion for the fetus is usually done.

She's under the care of a high risk perinatologist, correct?
