i am having golf ball size blood clots is this normal

i am 22 and i have had really bad periods since i was 13 but nothing like this the passed 2 an half years since i had my son and got an IUD put in. my periods have been so bad that i have stood up and gushed and had to run to the bathroom and some of the clots have been bigger then a golf ball. i get back pain but the cramps arent that bad. my period has gotten so bad the i dont even leave the house for the hole week that i have too cuz i am to afraid i will gush when i have out some where. can some one please help and let me know if there is anything i can do about it.

Go see the doctor and explain what is going on.

I know a few people who go through this. I heard it gets worse as we age. Especially with age. I wouldnt be scared but I would bring it up to a doctor.

i have been to a doctor and they have said pretty much all the same thing even female doctors. which is that its normal and i know it isnt.

I never had that except when I was miscarrying.  Maybe it is indeed an offshoot of the IUD.

Sweety, This isnt normal, I had the same thing happen to me, i became extremely anemic from this, my dr put me on a medication wich i only take durning my periods. Golf size clots are not normal,  see your dr or go see a specialist.
