i want to know!!!!!

hey ladies...TTC and taking glucophage to help me ovulate because i have PCOS..i want to know is there anyone that has PCOS and just taking glucophage and got preg? if yes how long did it take you? my doc. wont give me clomid because he feels that i can get preg. just with glucophage..and its frastuarting!!i always thought that since you get your AF every month automatically you ovulate..how come im not? every month its always the same story..does glucophage really help you ovulate?

I don't take it, but I met a couple who was told for 20 years that they could not have children.  The wife started taking glucophage for diabetes and in a few months she found out she was pregnant(total surprise to both). They are in their 40's and were sooooo happy.  The husband did some reading and found out a lot of women have this happen. He even told me to warn anyone who gets on it that it makes them very fertile, hehe.... So I think you are on the right track, and good luck!!!

I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I have PCOS and was on clomid, then glucophage and then clomid again. My OB put me on clomid first...I was unsuccessful for the first 3 rounds. Then I was referred to a specialist who prescribed glocophage for 6 weeks and I did not take clomid during this time. After that time, I went back on clomid and got pregnant. So if you ask me, glophage worked for me! Good luck and have faith. Don't be surprised if it doesn't happen right away. I don't know if you are over weight, but I was about 15-20lbs heavier then I was when I conceived my first child on clomid on the first shot. I wonder sometimes if I was unsuccessful the first 3 rounds of clomid b/c I was heavier. I did lose weight, went on glucophage, then clomid and while I was on vacation it happened. So everything seemed to be aligned. Good luck!

hey that sounds too good to be true! ive been on glucophage 3 months now..but i had surgery in jan. do to polyps..so really the doc. said i should be ok this month and try it out! i am overweight strugguling to lose weight but your guys are givin me hope! im on my period rite now so i will try this month!

I took glucophage for 3 months with nothing! I began clomid in my 4th month and ovulated. MY LMP WAS 12/3, BUT I DIDN'T O UNTIL 12/30! KEEP UP THE BD!!!!!

i have also been diagnosed with PCOS as well as endometriosis.  i refused to take any medication.... and got pregnant straight away- after baby dancing 2times a day for a whole months!!!! unfortunately i lost the baby when 14 weeks pregnant. we are just about to start trying again. as my Bf said to me... dont think about it, just enjoy it otherwise its not wort it. i just hope i will be lucky to concieve (conceive) again soon
good luck to you. ( By the way- my PCOS was so bad(and endometriosis) that i had 3 surgery in the past 2 years and. The doctors told me that if i wouldnt be so young(30y)and have some children , they would do hysterectomy.

I'm in the same spot...I have PCOS, my dr. told me that he won't let me go on clomid until I have tried glucophage (metformin). I am going along with what he said...but I am frustrated as well....I wonder what clomid would do on its own? We will have to see next cycle

hey wow 2 times a day thas really somenthing i should try that...i just wish that this month i will be ovulating..its been like 6 months now ya know..but i got my finger crossed and im trying to relax even dough its impossibile!!~~~~~ BABY DUST TO ALLL~~~~~~~
