info needed on implantation bleeding

by shadowofsyn, Jul 01, 2004 12:00AM
Hello.  I'm just looking for some answers.  This past Friday, I had my "period"(2 days early) but it was light and brownish in color.  Then on sunday it stopped.  Come Sunday evening, it came back, stayed until tuesday but it was soooo light and still brownish.  My hubby thinks it was implatation bleeding.  I'm unsure.  With my first pg(miscarried at 2 mos)my bb's were so sore.  I do not have this.  Although he says not all pg's are the same.  I took a test(ept) tuesday am, bfn.  A friend told me that maybe it was still too early or I should have used something more sensitive to hcg.  I was also told that it's best to test after the "bleeding" stops.  I just thought this was weird because for me, there is never a light af.  The first 3 days are always heavy....has been that way all my life.  So, what could this be?  Some of my af symptoms are still lingering such as hungry alot, peeing a little more than usual and some nausea off and on.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks for your time!

Ps...should I take another test(fre)?

It could be implantation bleeding, but it's hard to tell from a description.  I never had implantation bleeding with any of my pregnancies.  It may take a few days for the hcg level to get high enough to test +, so wait and test tomorrow (first thing in the morning) and see what happens.  Testing again is the only way to know for sure.

When I had implantation bleeding with this pregnancy I actually bleed a little twice. Once was about 5 days after ovulation, I went to the bathroom and wiped and had some brown blood on the tp. Then about 4 days later I had a light period for about 1 1/2 and that was it. It happened far enough before my period was due that I knew it was not my period.

I have been having a similar situation this week. I took a hpt on Saturday and it was a faint positive. I was not entirely convinced so I took another one on Sunday morning. It was -. On Monday, cycle day 29, I started having some spotting. It was pinkish, but then it stopped. Tuesday I had some discharge and it had some small brown specks in it. Then it too stopped. Yesterday I had nothing. So I took another test this morning, cycle day 32, and it was a BFN. I am pretty convinced that I am not preggo and that I was not having implantation bleeding. If you have an embryo implant than the HCG levels should be doubling and a hpt should detect a pregnancy very easily. I am not saying this is always the case, but they are pretty accurate. I am also on clomid and I have not been having regular cylces since February so that might be the cause of the longer cycle. I was very excited this month because I did detect my LH surge, so I felt I was finally going to O. My doctor gives me provera to start my AF when she is being stubborn, but I chose not to take it this time. I am seeing my doctor next Tuesday and if AF has not shown up I will see what she advises. I am not trying to bum you out, but our situtations sounded so similar and wanted to post and share with you. Let us know if you take another test. I am sending prayers and baby dust your way~~~~~~~ :)

I didn't have implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy but I did with this one. Around the time of when my period was do to start I had a little brownish color discharge only when I wiped...very very light...it last about 3 days. I was a little worried because I didn't have that with my last pregnancy. We saw a heart beat at 6 weeks and everything looks good and I too did the blood work to make sure the HCG levels were rising...

Hi Guys,
I have been reading some of your comments on clomid and implantation bleeding and I have some very similar symptoms. Since I have been on Clomid my cycle has been all over the place and I have been experiencing ovulation bleeding as well as early bleeding. I was hoping and praying that it was implantation bleeding but as I didn't have this with my first child it doesn't look good.
Speak to you again soon Deb

Implantation bleeding is a tiny bit once everyday like you can have it once in a day it can go up2  1-3days  1in 3 women get it its very rare I think it was your period because it sounds like it periods can come early and of and on I've had Implantation bleeding its rare you get before your next period. Its only a tiny bit like top of a pin head so it sounds like it wasn't Implantation bleeding it can be pink/red/brown nothing like a period. mine was stringy pink in my discharge it was little tiny then it gone. It can be thick or stringy but what you had sounds like your period my lasted 1 day
