Hi i am 26 weeks pregnant and i am on 100mgs of zoloft for bad anxiety and panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia attacks and i was wondering if it is harmful to my unborn child? Also i am still anxious cause i am worrying about beiin on zoloft while i am pregnant?
zoloft is the most studied anti depressant to take while pregnant. It is a category B drug. I am not sure about that high of dose though. I am on only 20mg of ProzacProzac Prozac weekly...and that is just enough to take the edge off of my anxiety. I would ask the dr. about it and what he thinks. How long have you been takin it?
I would suggest talking to a perinatal physchiatrist - they specialise in this area and will be able to make recommendations for your specific case. If you are still feeling anxious, switching to another medication or modifying your dosage of Zoloft may be benefical.
BTW: whatever you do, do NOT stop taking Zoloft abruptly.
