I'm in the same boat as you. the twin was too small and the heart stopped bleeding. So for now, I too on;y have one. But this one is strong and I really pray that peanut (that's what I call him/her) will be a fighter and make it through. I pray the same for you. I'm on bed rest today b/c the bleeding just stopped. And they want to see me tomorrow as well.
I'm 12 weeks today... so hoping soon this fearFears and phobias will be over and we can start celebrating!
Biegal13, I hope things are better with you with the bleeding. Its sadDepression to lose a twin, but I think we should be optimistic with at least one showing good development. My 2nd twin was also slow from the beginning, initially we thought it was because of late implantation but I guess it wasn't supposed to grow.. I am 37 years old so we have opted for genetic testing, we are going to start with screening between 11-14 weeks, and if something tunrs up we might do amniocentesisAmniocentesis. I am kind of anxious for all this. I think this anxiousness will never go away. It starts with beginning of IVF cycle and I guess it will continue all through out pregnancy till child birth. I completed my 9 weeks today, but have a lot to go through.
Mrpatsy: I hope you are relaxed and are hanging in there. Definetly your days off work will be beneficial for you. Don't stress out, relax and hope for the best. I shall also think about you.
As for me I am still resting and hoping that things work this time. I do the pregnancy test next week Wednesday. I have to do blood work again tomorrow morning to check the hormones level. On Tuesday the nurse said that everything was fine so I hope that tomorrow everything is also fine too and I do not have to swallow any more pills again.
My appt on the 11th and this morning went well. The single is doing well. I had some liquid leaking on thursday that really scared me, so I went in this morning to see what it was. The leaking is from the twin that heart stopped and not the single one. PHew. But still very scary.
I agree that this anxiousness will not go away. I think I will always be scared until little peanut is in my arms.
Mr Patsy.... I'm sending you baby dust for good news on Wed.
Biegal13: It must have been very scary to see the leak but thank god it was the smaller twin without the heartbeat. To have been thru so much and then such things happen, its really sad. Great to know that your peanut is doing fine. Do you have morning sickness. I have very occasional bouts of nausea not even progressing to vomiting. I'm still passing some old blood. This is from the clot which, though had reduced very much in size but was still present.
Mrpatsy: Hope your blood test went OK today. Stay calm till you hCG blood test next wednseday, although it is easy to say but difficult to follow.

Babyluving: Congratulations!!! Great to hear that the triplets are doing fine. My prayers are there for them. I know a number of examples with baies born at 28 weeks who do perfectly fine.So don't worry, they shall be fine.
Tearts: Congratulation to you too!!!! You have an encouraging experience!! Keep us posted about your well being.
Well I got the results today and it was a psoitive. MY HCG levels were 84. Last IVF cycle I had a 31 and a chemical pregnancy. Hope this one continues ot grow. So I have to redo another blood work on Friday. Hope things go well with it. I have been back to work but have been taking it easy so I do not stress out. Thanks for all the best wishes.
Babyluving, best wishes for the triplets I am sure they will be fine keep praying.
Tearts congratulations on you pregnancy. I was hoping that in between iVF that a miracle had happened so I do not have to go through the IVF torture again but it did not.
Hi Ladies, I am new to this forum, i am 23 yrs and had my 3rd ivf done (2 were unsuccessful) . i had embryo tranfer on the 3rd of June and i started bleeding on the 9th of June (bleeding was light but i remained for four days), i had a blood test done on the 16th of June and it was negative... Can it be false negative or does it me that i am not pregnant... I am really really upset... pls somebody help :(
hey dun be sad. I hope everything goes well with u ... lots of baby dust ...hugs... i too had an IVF done in dec07 after 10 years ttc and i was preggy with triplets... i saw their heartbeats as well. but unfortunately in a gap of 2 weeks each i lost two of them and im left with single fetus now... it does hurt and i still feel the loss of my two fetus ....
To: biegal, hope2bepositive mysty2001 and everyone else
I got a call from the nurse today. My levels went up to 167. So I guess I am still pregnant. I redo the blood work on June 26. I am a bit nervous though, but I will be fine.
Everyone thanks for the baby dust and all the good luck. I guess after 3 months I would be on my way to being a new mom. I will keep everyone updated on it.
Mrpatsy,
Great to know that your numbers have been jumping. This last cycle has been good for all of us. Just relax, you shall do fine
Biegal13,
I am 11&1/2 weeks now. Luckily the last 2-3 weeks have gone smoothly. As I mentioned in my previous posting, I am lanxious for the genetic screening, since I am 37 years old. Not much morning sickness for me. How are you doing? You must be close to 14 or 15 weeks by now.
Babyluving,
Hope your babies are doing fine and are growing rapidly
Does the numbers have to keep going up in order to confirm that the embryos are still growing. When do I stop doing blood work so often. Can the levels also drop too, even though it rose after the two blood test?
I agree with mysty2001, it depends upon the doctor for the blood test. My doc didn't do a lot of hCG levels, instead they did progesterone since my progesterone was quite high and they stopped the injections much before the usual time.
Finally as Mysty2001 said, U/S is done to see the heartbeat as well as the number of sacs, if they don't see heartbeat in the initial U/S then they repeat it.
I did my blood work this morning and the nurse called and said that it was good and everything else was fine. I forgot to ask here the levels, I will next time I speak to her.I have to do my first scan on Wednesday 2 July and also another blood work too. I look forward to knowing what's there and whats going on with those embryos. I'm hoping that its one or maybe two but not anymore.
So far so good for me. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I wonder what happened to sarahandabraham from the previous blogs! I hope that they are fine and getting good news soon.
Its good to know that the litleone/littleones inside you are doing fine. Its always wonderful to have twins, to complete the family in one shot. Hope you get some good news (about twins) on the scan.
I remember Abraham&Sarah from last yer. She didn't post anything after nov-december. Hope she has some good news too.
What sympoms are you having? For me its increased urination, breast tenderness, tiredness and I think my tummy is showing up litle bit!!
Mrpatsy - I'm really happy for you! The first u/s will be a wonderful day.
Hope2Bpositive - sounds like things are progressing nicely. When is your due date?
I have quite a few symptoms as well...at 14 weeks 3 days... I'm always having to pee, headaches, huge boobs, and nausea in and out. I hear the nausea should be going away soon within the next week or so.
I also has another scar last Monday. I caught a bad stomach bug and went to the ER with a 101 temp. Good news is that I'm feeling tons better and peantut is fine. I had them do another check today to calm my nerves. My mom was sick with something last week and I went to go help her... had to tell my parents that for the next 5 months that I can't be around anyone sick again. I learned my lession!!!
I'm due Dec 23rd... but since I have to have a C-section... will probably be early to mid Dec.
I am looking forward to the scan so that I know whats up. I am having breast tenderness and I think that my breast agrew a little nd tummy is a little bigger form everything especially from the fertility shots. I also get tired at some times but I have to eat breakfast or I feel so hungry. I also get hungry during the day and night but I try to control myself and eat fruits and drink lots of water. I am hoping that I do not put on too many pounds that i cannot lose it. Thats my biggest problem right now I am worried about after the pregnancy that I would not lose all the weight or I would eat too much and get too fat during pregnancy.I also have cravings for spicy stuff and I keep eating mangoes and oranges. Anyways its all good. My nurse told me not to go to my OBGYN until they tell me to do so. So I guess they want to be absolutely sure that there is aheartbeat before I am sent to OBGYN. How soon did your doctor tell you to go to OBGYN? I alos get cramps of twinges in the vagina area. So I guess the little ones are growing thats the reason why.
Biegal 13,
Do keep away from those who are sick. I had all the people at my work with the cold. One had a bad case of strep throat and I told her to keep away. I am not trying to get sick or even get an attack of the allergies. I suffer form bad allergies and I have to take Zyrtec D almost every day. But since the transfer I cannot take any medication right now. I think when they were doing the egg retreival the anestheoligist gave me an allergy shot and told me not to take Zyrtex D anymore try to live with out it. So far the allergy shot has helped.
If things goes well as planned then I too might have to have a C section since I am 42 years old and have never had any kids before. So I am in the same situation as you. This would be my first.
I completed my 12 weeks today. Had an ultrasound yesterday for nuchal translucency and nasal bone. Everything looked good. Next ultrasound will be after 4 weeks. We're still debating for amniocentesis. My due date is January 13th.
I also feel very hungry at times, like you Mrpatsy. Its a good idea to eat healthy. I was underwieght to start with, I have been told repeatedly by my doctor to gain weight. I'm trying my best for that. I have similar symptoms like you guys. Well, I was told to get an Ob-Gyn during 7th-8th week. You must be going to have your ultrasound tomorrow, all the best for that.
Biegal13: It seems, you've had something or the other going on. I hope all is well now with your health.
On Wednesday I had the ultrasound done and there was only one embryo. I saw the heartbeat and the rate was 117. the doctor said that as long as the heart rate is over 110 then I am out of the danger zone.
I am still continuing my estrace pills and also teh rpogesterone shots, and I am hoping for the best. I have to redo the ultra sound on teh 15 july. He said that I was also due on february 25 and that I am 6 weeks pregnant.
It was quite an experience seeing the heartbeat. It was such a wonderful thing. I hope that things work out this time and so too for everyone else. I was hoping for twins so that I could complete everything after this. But I am quite happy with one. They also told me to start looking for an OBGYN which I already have, and that I should be able to stop teh progesterone shots soon. I am hoping and praying for teh next 6 weeks to go by quickly and safely for me.
I would update everyone on the next step and how things progress. I hope that everyone who has been workign hard at IVF that things work out well for them.
YEA! isn't hearing the heartbeat amazing! I'm so happy for you. I was told I could stop the estrace at week 8, but to stay on the progestrogen shots through week 12. I think my husband actually misses giving me the shots at this point. :)
Hope2Bpositive,
Sounds like things are progessing well for you. Great news. 12 weeks is very good news! We did the high resolution U/S as well to look for any signs. Ours came back as normal as well.
Tuesday I will be 16 weeks. YEA!! and our due date is Dec 23rd, but I have to do a c-section (due to my many surgries) so we are looking at early to mid Dec. We are debating the amnio as well... we are getting the blood work done next Friday, but I know there are a lot of false positives. I just think peanut (and us too) has been through enough... :)
I'm also talking my first business trip since I found out I was pregnant tomorrow. Its only three days and its less than a 2 hour flight. I'll be gone Monday through Wed... so not a long trip. A bit nervous about it... but its my only work trip while I'm pregnant. Doctors aren't worries... but I always seem to. :)
Best to you both. Looks like Dec, Jan and Feb will be three happy months! :)
Mrpatsy: Congratulations on hearing the heartbeat. Yeh, even I was looking for twins, but now I can say, I'm content with one for now. My progesterone was also stopped quite early. Initially they lowered the amount and then finally stopped it. You must be having the symptoms of tiredness, nausea and increased hunger.
Biegal13: Today I'm 13 weeks. Still debating about amnio, we're kind of leaning towards it, after hearing from couple of friends who had gone through it. My center has a risk of losing pregnancy 1 in 500. That's what is worring me, although 1 in 500 is a quite a low number. Since I had twins to start with, my center did not do the initial blood tessting as part of the screening, they just did 'the first look ultrasound'.
Well, I think 2nd trimester is quite safe to travel. Hope your journey and trip has been a pleasant experience during pregnancy. My doctor did mention that I could travel till 32 weeks.
Are you guys using any lotion to prevent stretch marks?
I did my blood work again today and teh nurse siad that everyhting is ok, and that I can go see my OBGYN and also I have finally stopped taking teh estrace pills and the progesterone shots. I am so happy about no more shots with long big needles. I have to do one more ultrasound and that is on next Tuesday. I look forward to going and seeing the baby heartbeat once again.
I hope things are going fine with you beigal13 and also hope2bepositive. I have these terrible hunger pangs and it feels so unconrollable. Even though I finished a heavy meal less that an hour ago I still feel as if I am straving and have not eaten all day. A friend of mine told me that she chew gum to help herself from eating too much. I would try that to control that hunger pangs and I hope it works.
Today was the worst day so far I guess it was so hot and made me sleepy and tired. I felt sick after breakfast because I think taht I drank too much orange juice and I felt sleepy all day. the strange thing is that all day I would be sleepy but when I get home then i am not sleepy anymore.
I have not though about using anything for stretch mark on the tummy. Maybe I should look into it so it does not leave ugly marks behind.
Well I would keep everyone updated on things and I hope you both beigal13 and hope2bepositive are doing fine. And everyone else keep trying as I did and I did not give up.
I did my second ultra sound and the baby is doing fine. The heartbeat had risen to about 160, and everything is fine. I am still progressing and I have stopped the progesterone shots and the estrace pills. The IVF doctor said that things are well and I should go see my OBGYN. I have started with the OBGYN this week.
Beigal13 and hope2bepositive I hope that things are still fine with you both and wish everyone else the best of luck. I would be keeping in touch and updating everyone on any new happenings.
Mrpatsy: Nice to hear that the baby is doing fine. You must be 8-9 weeks by now.Its always good to stop the injections, even mine stopped early on.
I'm doing fine. haven't had an ultrasound since the last 2 weeks, I have a visit scheduled to my doctor on 28th for ultrasound and blood work, we'll decide at that time whether we'll go for amniocentesis or not. I've been more mobile this trimester as compared to the first trimester. My work has also gone more busy now. I ocasionally get bouts of nausea but its not that bad.
Biegal13: hope you're doing fine and your doctor's visit went fine.
Biegal 13:Great news congratulation!! I go in coming monday for an ultrasound and blood work. How was your quad screen?
Mrpatsy: hope things are going well with.
Things are fine with me. Still hungry and eating too. Net tuesday I would be 10 weeks and I think I have another appointment with my OBGYN on the 11 week. I am still a bit nervous since everyone keeps telling me that the first trimester is teh worst and A miscarriage cna still occur. I try not to overwork and stress myself and not lift anything heavy. Otherwise I am doing fine. I noticed this week that I eat all day like fruits and I have been drinking lots of water. I think that my body needs the extra water and nutrients. I tend to eat every two hours. I just hate to have taht hungry feeling and a couple of time I though that I was avout to throw up with hunger so I make sur ethat I have snacks and fruits on hand to eat whenever I get this feeling. So far it has been working fine for me since I never wait to get hungry anymore, every two hours I keep get something. I hope that I do not put too much weight on. I only weigh like about 125 lbs before I got pregnant but with all those shots and fertility drugs I think that helped with extra weight too and also the pregnancy. I am so afraid to go on the scale. I also feel so tired after work its so unbelievable.
Hope2bepostive and beigal13, I hope that things work out fine with your tests. I guess my turn woudl be next with the amnio test and a couple other tests too.
Keep us informed and I would update you with the latest new developments.
Yea! Today went fine. No need for an Amnio for me! We are thrilled. I do didn't want to have to go through that. Our Son is looking good. I can't believe we are 1/2 way there!
MrPatsy - I totally know how you feel. Until we hit 14 weeks, we were holding our breath. But your peanut already seems to be very strong. I'm thrilled for you. Good to keep eating every few hours. That helped me a lot too.
Hope2bPostive... hope your day went well today too.
Good to know that both you guys are doing fine.
Mrpatsy: It must be exciting to see the fetus via ultasound. Yep, I also feel quite hungry at times, so have kept some supplies at my offfice. I remember during my initial ultrasounds it was a pleasure seeing the baby move (sort of wriggle). When is your EDD?
Biegal13: Congratulations, you don't have to do the amnio. Our ultrasound went great on monday, everything looked good. I had blood drawn too on monday for the quad test, but am still waiting for the results, they're supposed to be out by monday. This wll help us decide about amnio.
You must be close to 20 weeks, have you felt the baby move? I'm still waiting for it. I'm 16.3 now. How was your airtrip? I'm sure it must have been fine. We're debating whether to fly or not on the long weekend.
To: Beigal13 and Hope2bepositive and everyone else
My EDD is 25 February and I am all excited. On Tuesday I would be 11 weeks and soon I would be out of the 3 month danger window. Sine my last US with my IVF doctor I have not done any more Ultra sound since. I had an obgyn visit on Thursday and they referred me to a high risk doctor. So I am awaiting an appointment. I am 42 years old and this would be my first baby. The OBGYN said that I would do follow up appoints with them as well as see the high risk doctor. Do anyone of you got referred to see any kind of high risk doctor? I do not know exactly the name for the high risk doctor.
I am also very tired and getting pains on my leg but the obgyn said that it is just a ligament stretching. I am a bit nervous any time that I have any slight pain since it hinders me from walking around especially when I have to go to work. Maybe I just need to stay away from work for a few months until after I have the baby.
Anyways, I am hanging in there and praying that everything would be fine. I hope this pregnancy goes well and February 25 comes by real fast.
I have to keep eating something as soon as I get that empty feeling and bitter taste in my mouth. I think that I go like a chomping/chewing machine all day and I drink lots of water. I cannot drink any sweet juices such as fruit punch since I vomited a few times. I think it was too sweet. Instead I eat at least one fruit a day, either a pear, an orange or a bananna. I might even start on apples soon.
Well I would keep you updated on any new developments, and hope thing go fine with you both, and so too for everyone else.
Don't worry about the high risk doctor. Well, I chose a high risk Ob/Gyn myself, since I bled in my 7 weeks. Now I think I shall chose a regular Ob/Gyn for further follow-up
Good luck
I'm at a high risk OB becase I have a J-pouch and had utuerus surgey before being able to start IVF. Most people don't need a high risk OB unless they have some type of condition or circumstance that is at a higher risk. I have tons of scar tissue and I'm a high risk for blockages since I don't have a colon and my intenal organs have been moved around a bit.
I do think age is one of the quailifications that they do accept, so if it makes you feel safer... then why not! :) Keep in mind though... i have heard (and experinced) that with the high risk OBs they tend to be a lot more technical than fluffy. So if you are looking for someone to bond with you over this expeince and emotionally be there with you... then this many not be the place for you. (always depends on the place though... I can't speak for all.) I love my Dr and only want him to do my c-section but I think it b/c I feel safer with strong technical person and don't need the other side from him.
I'm doing well with a few bumps here and there. 21 weeks and our baby boy is looking great! Our next appt is Aug 25th. Looking forward to seeing him again. Always makes me feel better after I go to these appts b/c I then know all is on track. I'm such a PRO at worrying :)
Mr Patsy - Sorry to hear about the 1st trimester sickness. That isn't fun. But the good news is that the 1st trimester is almost over (YEA!) and most people then start feeling a lot better.
Hope2bpositve - I had no issues with traveling. Actually felt really good to get away for a few days even though it was for work.
Glad to hear you ladies are doing well.
Littlefeet... I still think about you and hope you are doing well.
Nicole, you are so sweet. After a couple of months off we are almost ready to go again. We changed Dr's and now are in a much bigger practice. They did a hysteroscopy yesterday and so far everything looks good. They need to wait for the biopsy results. The dr. was thinking maybe there was an infection or inflammation in the uterus after the D & E for the miscarriage. We have out IVF consult on 8/15 and should be ready to go in September. This is try #4 and the end of insurance coverage so keep thinking, praying and sending lots and lots of babydust. I am so happy you are all doing so well. Best of luck. Did you pick out a name yet?
hello ladies just wanted to drop in say hi and let you know how my babies are doing well all is well i bought my little boy home on tue and the 2 girls should be comeing home within a week or so i cant waith to get on with our life its been close to 9 weeks now in nicu but they have all came out with no problems thank god for being only 28 weeks gestation we have been so blessed congrats to you all i hope all comes through for you god bless you all and take care:)
Babyluving: It is great to hear that you and the babies are doing fine. You must be looking forward to having all three of them home.
Littlefeet: I hope this cycle is successful for you. Even my 4th cycle was suucessful after 3 failed ones. I had also changed my doctor for this try. I wish you good luck. Keep us informed.
Biegal 13 and Mrpasty: my blood results from the quad screen came back good, combined with the ultrasound everything looks fine, so we are not going for amniocentesis. Mrpatsy: you must be finally over with your 1st trimester, hopefully you shall start feeling better. Biegal13: you must be feeling the baby move. When did that start. I'm still waiting for it.
Littlefeet - YEA!! I'm so happy to hear from you. Thanks for the note. I think its a good idea that you changed Dr's. It may be just what you guys needed and I'm praying that this time works for you!
Hope2bpostive - I'm so glad your blood work all came back good! I know how you feel! Yep... at 19 weeks I started feeling these flutters, that my hubby says was gas, but starting at 20 weeks it became really clear those flutters were our little boy. I'm 21 weeks now and feel them more and more. Now just waiting for that big KICK. :)
Only strange thing I've had is a few twinges of pain in my pelvic / bladder area that take me by surprise. I had my cervix checked three weeks ago and all was fine... but I'm a PRO at worrying... so I may have it checked again this week just so I can relax about it.
MrPatsy - Hope you are starting to be able to eat more and feeling better.
I did my first visit to the high risk OBGYN today. He did an ultrasound and it was such a joy to see the baby once again. I heard teh heartbeat and also they wanted the baby to move to measure and I saw it move. I t was such a winderful thing to see.
Now I am all even more excited that I have this baby and it is still strong. I was a bit nervous before I went in since I did not want any disappointing news, but thimgs turned out to be fine.
I cannot wait unitl I get over the 14 weeks. On Wednesday I would be 12 weeks. I still have about two weeks to go. The doc mentioned teh amnio test today, but he said that there are risks associated with it such as a miscarriage. So now I am thinking twice , After going through these 3 IVF cycles then I do not want to risk anything just with an amnio test. I still have a few more weeks to go before I do make my decision though. Maybe if the US shows a helthy baby then I would not do the amnio test.
Anyways every day I wish that I was not working since this baby making is getting to me. I am feeling really tired and all weekend I spend catching up on sleep.
Well I hope that things are fine with you beigal13 and also hope2bepositive. Also babyluvin the best of luck with those babies and I am sure they went through so much they are strong and can continue on and would be home soon. Everyone else good luck. I would keep updating on my happenings as the days go by.
Hi ladies,
I'm on this site after a long time. Have been keeping very busy at work. Had my 20 weeks ultrasound today. Everything looked fine. We are not going for amnio. We asked the ultrasound tech to keep the sex of the babies secret, so we didn't find the sex of the baby.
Mrpatsy, I can understand your concern regarding amnio. We were in the same boat. We decided we would go for screening tests first and then would go for amnio, if anything came back abnormal. Luckily till now everthing has been normal. Hope your tiredness is going away.
I finally have started feeling the baby kick, first I didn't recognize it, but then it became more obvious.
Biegal13: I had somewhat similar situation like yours when I felt pain in my lower pelvis. I went to the ER and got everything checked, that was last month, The cervix was closed and the baby was doing fine. How many weeks are you now?
I am in my 15 week now. I am out of the 1st trimester and I am happy about that. But this week I had some problems. I started spotting a week or two ago and I ignored it since it only occured on the weekend so I though that it was nothing. This weekend I have more spotting actually blood on saturday and also on Sunday. I got really scared about it and decided on Tuesday to call and mention it to the OBGYN. As I predicted they said that maybe it was nothign and It might be normal. The nurse emntioned it to the doctor and they called me in for an appointment. They did the ultrasounds about three and said that nothing was wrong with the baby or the placneta. But I also continued bleeding yesterday and it was bright red blood even heavier. They then told me to call the high risk doctor and see if I can go in today, which I did. He also did an Ultrasound and he said that everythign looks fine the baby was moving and playing around and the placneta was fine. I was still spotting today. I am hoping that everything would be fine and the bleeding would finally stops. I also had cramps and backache and leg pains with it so I was really worried.
I was hoping that after the first trimester that everything would be fine but I guess I have to be careful all the time. My regular OBGYN put me on bedrest and not to go back to work until he tells me to. I am a bit happy for the bed rest since most days and mornings I am so exhausted and very tired. I think that baby making is taking its toll on me.
Hopefully this does not go on for too long and I am fine in a few days.
It really is a terror to experinece bleeding and complications when you have reached this far. At first they thought that it was preterm labor that I was having I almost freaked out.
Well beigal 13 and hope2bepositive I hope you are both fine and things are working out for you both. I would keep everyone updated on any new developments and changes. I am also keeping my fingers crossed and praying that everything is fine and the bleeding stops.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. When I was 15 wekks, I also had lower pelvic pain, went in the ER. Things went ok after that. I'm sure when you have got yourself checked everything would be fine. What did the doctors say was the cause of bleeding.
I am also having long working hours nowadays, its almost 12 hours. I was having backache, I was called today for a check-up to rule out a preterm labor. They think that the backache is because of musculo-skeletal issues.
Hope everything becomes fine quickly for you
Well they did not find anything that caused the bleeding. The baby and placenta looked good and the baby was floating and moving around. The OBGYN hig risk doctor said that at times women bleed when they are pregnant but it was not normal. He said that he would prefer no bleeding rather than bleeding. He also did not see anything that caused the bleeding. So it is a bit strange to me.
SO they put me on no working until I am cleared by OBGYN to go back to work. I think that I stressed myself out too much. I also went to the GYM and was walking on the treadmill too for about 10 minutes. Like about three times a week I try to go to the gym.
I also work about 12 hours each day. So now I think that I overdid it. I also have this pain on my right leg and the OBGYN said that at times your uterus leans to either the right or the left and maybe mine is leaning to the right so thats why I am having a bit of pain.
I am relaxing these few days until I get the ok to go back to work. I rest every day so I feel much better rather than being up at 5;30 in the morning and working until 5 pm.
I think that my body was telling me to rest with teh pain and all those bleeding.
I am enjoying the time off until I have to go back to work. So far the bleeidng have been kind of stopping, but I know taht as soon as I go back to walking around then I would start having those horrible symptoms again.
I will update you and evryone els on the new happenings
Mrpatsy, Great to hear that things are coming back to normal now. You must be having good relaxation at home.
Well, when I had bleeding at 7 weeks, I was diagnosed with subchorionic hematoma. I had fresh bleeding for one night and after that it was old blood, which kept on passing for 3 weeks, and doctors did not care for the old blood. They were instead happy since when the bleeding stopped the hematoma was gone.
You also have long working hours. Is your work more official or involves physical work too. We are short of staff at my office so that is putting a lot of work on the remaining people. I hope we'll be fully staffed soon, so that it decreases the work load.
Biegal13: Hope things are going fine with you. You must be 25-26 weeks by now. See how quickly the time has gone. You'll be soon entering your third trimester.
I shall be 22 weeks coming tuesday. I started feeling the baby move by 19-20 weeks, but now the movements are becoming stronger.
Sorry that I've been missing from action for awhile. After working all day, when I come home all I want to do is have dinner and go to sleep! I'm 25 week and doing well. I've had a few things pop up over the past few weeks... but I'm also just really good at worring!
- Had a HORRIBLE yeast infection that is very common with pregnany, but NO fun.
- Had additional pelvic pain /spaums that scared me... but we did a pre-term labor test and it was negative.
I think once I hit 32 weeks I'll start to relax. I'm also going to start taking Friday's off after next week and work 4 days a week. I think the long hours of work are extra hard on the body and I have so much PTO that I haven't even touched and will lose if I don't take it since I'm over the 280 allotment of of accured hours.. so I might as well take it.
How's the sleeping going ladies? I find with the big belly, its hard to get sleep these days. I've always slept on my stomach so hard to get used to sleeping on my sides.
Mr Patsy... I had bleeding up until my 4th month. They thought I might have a polp on my cervix which is really hard to see on U/S, but nothing to worry about for baby.
Hope2bpostive- don't you just LOVE feeling the baby mom. My favorite thing to do is lie on my side, read a book and have one hand on my belly feeling my boy kick. I think we already know we have a soccer player on our hands. :)
I too had fungal infection along with Urinary tract infection last week. Went in to get checked for preterm labor, but thank god everything was fine.
I too have sleeping problems. Its difficult to sleep on the sides, since I also used to sleeping on my stomach.I think that is what precipitating backache for me. Its intermettent, and also may be my long work hours.
Its a pleasure to feel the baby move. Sometimes the kicks are really strong. I keep giving commentary to my husband regarding the movements.
MrPatsy: Hope your bleeding is slowing down and you're relaxing at home.
mr patsy - I bled like that with my singleton - they said it was a blood clot and that it would decrease by week 23 - kept telling me not to overdo it - stay off feet and stairs whenever possible. It went away by 30 weeks and I was able to walk and run
me - I am 27 weeks 3 days today. Glucose test MOnday and next u/s at hospital. A little slow growth on twin A/. Tired and starting to show noticeably
Well I am still on bed rest they recommended it, and I hope that my work do not get mad at me for having bed rest. The doctor said that maybe throughout my pregnancy I might be on bed rest. I also did the triple test for down syndrome and today the doctor called and said that I have a 1 in 10 chance of having down syndrome. She also said that I could have healthy baby too and that is a 9 out of 10 chance of having a healthy baby. I am 42 years old used my own eggs and I went through a lot for this baby. Tomorrow I go back to the high risk doctor for the amnio screening. I do not really want to do the amnio since I run a risk of a miscarriage and also since they would probably sugegst an abortion if I come back positive. I think that I will skip the amnio. I also read and heard that the triple tetsing is based on age and ivf risks etc. It is not accurte and it is teh cheaper etst to do, it is mostly based on statistics of age and health history that is if down syndrome runs in teh family. I heard that it might not be good at determining down syndrome.
I am really nervous about doing the amnio. I heard that most people who did the triple testing and came back with a chance of down syndrome they said that they had healthy babies.
I think that the best thing is to pray to god to have healthy baby and skip the amnio test.
About a month ago I did a blood test with the high risk doctor and the blood test came back negative for down syndrome.
I see the doctor tomorrow so I would ask all the questions I can but 99% for me I would say no to the amnio. I do not want to take chances and do an abortion if the amnio is positive. I worked too hard for this pregnancy.
Anyways I have stopped belleding, and also I am enjoying the bed rest. I would update everyone on teh new developments tomorrow.
Mrpatsy: I can understand your anxiety towards amnio. The decision is a tough one and very personal. Did you also have an ultrasound along with the triple test? All the best for tomorrow. Good to know that you are enjoying your bedrest.
Biegal 13: Well, nowadays I'm enjoying ice-cremes too. My work schedule is very heavy nowadays. It should become a bit relaxed by the end of next week. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow. Best of luck for the test on friday.
I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I didn't want to do an amino either. I was also very scared of the miscarage and I was pretty sure that if they told me that I had to do it... that I wouldn't. Know we are here for you!
Hope2Bpositive - glad you are doing well. And thanks for the well wishes on Friday.
I finally did go to my appointment with the high risk doctor. He said that everythign was fine and that he had done a blood work earlier on and it came back negative for down syndrome. He also mentioned to me that the triple testing is not accurate and it should not have been done on me at may age since I am 42 years old. He told me not to wroory about anything since my baby looked fine. He also did a scan and he said that he saw nothing that indicates that my baby would have down syndrome, even compared it to teh earlier scans too. I was so relieved that I susggested to him that maybe we can skip taking the amnio test and he said that it was fine I do not have to do the amnio test. I told him how I was so worried and could not even think or even sleep over what the regular obgyn had called and said yesterday.
My husband agreed with me and we are not doing the amnio test anymore. I am releievd and I am praying for a healthy and happy baby. The US also showed that the baby might be a girl. I was hoping for a boy and I am a bit dissapointed, but for right now I would settle for a healthy baby even if its a girl. Maybe after this baby is born then I would get started again and have another one maybe a boy then.
I still do not understand why my regular obgyn would scare me to death like they did yesterday, with that triple testing results, and they even insisted that I do the amnio test too. I think they were kind of pushing me into thinking that I had to do the amnio test. Now I kind of lost trust in them.
Anyways I am a bit more releived and now I would stop worrying and start enjoying my pregnancy and eating healthy.
Biegal good luck with the appt on Friday and hope things are fine for you. Hope2bepositive hope your appointment went well today too.
Biegal13 and hope2bepositive, thanks for the support I needed it. I thought I was going crazy yesterday and last night.
MrPatsy: I'm happy to learn that everyhting went fine with you. I was also in a debate trying to decide whether to get amnio done or not. Luckily my screening tests were all fine, so we decided againts amnio. You must be quite relaxed now with a normal scan and a good advice from your high risk-ob gyn.
mysty2001: goodluck for the gest diabetes test. I have mine scheduled for October 8th
Just got the word back. I don't have Gestational Diabetes. YEA!! I can still eat my ice cream!! :) Good luck with your tests ladies.
They plan to do an untrasound in three weeks to estimate the size of our little boy. Since we lost the twin... they like to see how big he is and get an idea for our planned c-section date. Also b/c of my colon and other surgries... they don't want him to get to big that it will make the c-section harder.
Excited... b/c maybe in three weeks we can actually schedule a date to meet this little boy!!
Mr Patsy.... I'm glad that your high risk dr gave you the answeres and the support you needed.
Good to learn that your serum glucose level was normal. Great, you'll be becoming a mom soon. Are the doctors planning C-section before your due date? Have you done the preparations for the baby? We haven't started yet and don't know where to start. I thought we should attend the parenting and the other classes to become acquanted with the stuff. I ws wondering (you don't have to answer if you don't want to) why did you have colon surgery? Did you have some sort of colitis?
Yep... I had colitis for 7 years before I had my colon removed. They were pretty certain that I would get colon cancer if I wasn't removed pretty quick. So I had an external bag for three months and then another surgery to create a j-pouch (internal system... no bag) all when I was 31 years old. Due to the colon surgey... there was scar tissue blocking my tubes so I had to have fertility surgiery to try and fix this twice. On top of that... I had a bi-cornante uterus with a septum... so I had to have my uterus altered so I would be able to carry a child to term.
So after 5 surguries... I was then able to start the IVF process. After our third round.. we got LUCKY. I feel like this guy is our little maricle child!! We have been through a lot... but all has been worth it when i see the ultra sounds and especially when I see his little face in a few months.
We have signed up for classes in Nov. Baby Care and C-Section course. I may also do a 1st aid course as well for infants if I can move around still. I'm getting pretty big that my hips and pelvic area are pretty sore... this is also from all the surgery scar tissue.
Csetion will be at either 37,38 or 39 weeks. Depends on my health and the health of the baby. 37 weeks is full term. Typically they do c-section at 39 weeks... but for me with my health concerns they don't want him to get too big nor risk me having early labor. So we shall see what they say in a few weeks. :)
I'm an open book... so always feel free to ask me anything. My hubby says I'm too open sometimes.. but I think if I have helped one person with my story.. then all worth it.
Had my level two ultrasound yesterday
Haven;t gone over results with doc - but baby girl has a really small sac (they knew she was behind in growth so now they know why) I guess doc will tell me where we go from here
baby boy looks "awfully big" according to tech
anxious to follow up with doc - so I can hear his advice on what to do!
(haven;t gotten diabetes results becuase first appt was canceled - next one was 1pm and I was not fasting - so I drank half the bottle 1/2 hour before blood draw - oh well)
Mystys2001, I hope everything goes well with the babies. Well, I've always heard that one twin is bigger form the other due to space restriction, etc. They always catch up when they're born. One important advice, don't be anxious after getting results from techs, always wait for the final report from doctors.
Biegal 13: You've gone thru a lot. I guess, you might have had either Ulcerative coltis or Crohn's for your colon to be taken out and then on top of that you had a bicornuate uterus. Anyway, now everything has come down to a happy end!! One of my frineds has a bicornuate uterus and she didn't know until she got pregnant.
I've been having backache, so I went to a musculoskeletal doc, who examined me to find that my hip muscles were somewhat weak and has recommended me excercises.
Thanks
I talked with someone yesterday and her girl always was smaller than bot - and when they were born the gril was 1lb 5 oz smaller - but she was in NICU less. BUT she didn;t have the smaller sac
also, I don;t want them in NICU at all!
last year I had 2 boys at 35 weeks and they went home 30 some hours after birth no nicu
Hope everyone is doing good. Mysty 2001, hope your baby girl is growing fine.
I've been doing good except that I've been having some backaches and am following up with musculo-skeletal doctors for that. I have my glucose test this coming wednesday.
To: hope2bpositive, biegal13, mysty2001 and everyone else
Hi everyone,
Tomorrow I am 21 weeks, and I have the appointment with the high risk doctor. I am still away from work and not complaining or even asking to go back to work. I used to ask every time I viist the doctor and the doc would say not yet maybe in a couple of weeks or next 30 days. So now I am not asking anymore, I am taking it easy and still trying to feel for movements. I think that I do feel flutters on and of at times. I guess I will see the baby on the scan tomorrow and I am all for it again.
I am still a bit away form my glucose test so I am trying to stay away from all the sweet stuff from now, so that I do not have any problems later on in pregnancy and with the glusoce test.
I would update everyone on the developments.
Good luck everyone and keep hanging in there too just like I am. I am a bit happy that I have reached the halfway mark in my pregnancy. I hope that the next 4-5 months is not too bad.
hope everyone is doing fine. i am on bedrest after 3 days hospitalization, due to symptoms of pre-tem labor. as i had mentioned before i was working very hard at my place of work, almost 12 hours. the day prior to, when i got the symptoms of pre-term labor, i was walking so much that i got just 30 minutes to sit in my office between 8am-5pm. anyway, now i am at home, strict bedrest.
Hope2BPositive.... Oh how scary. I'm glad you are home resting. I've was having some long hard days at work too and just had to change things around a bit so I can be home a min of two days a week. I was getting strange pains when I over did it. I'm trying to work through thanksgiving, but know I won't make it at the pace I was before being pregnant. Hang in there....
Mr Patsy... hope you are doing well.
Mysty2001 - glad they are keeping an eye on things. Please keep us in the loop.
I'm currently 32 week+ few days and doing well. Just the normal (so they say) aches and pains of hip, joint, back and pevlic pain. And oh... I would just love a good night sleep. :) I did have some bleeding in my j-pouch, but we got that corrected pretty fast with the help of my GI.
We have a C-Section scheduled for Dec 16th!!! Very excited. Now just hoping he doesn't come early b/c I really want my Dr to do the c-section. No guarnetee he would be on duty or on call if we went early... but we will just have to wait and see.
We finally have a 1st name as well. Zachary!! Hubby gets to pick the middle name. I'm a bit scared with this.. so far its all favorite NBA or NHL atheletles.
Indeed I had a very scarry episode. I was terrified when the doctor told me that I ws having symptoms of premature labor. Anyway, things stablized and I am home on bedrest. Each and every week is a blessing for me. I am 29.5 weeks today, shall be 30 weeks this coming tuesday. Well, we also ended up finding sex of the baby, since it was near to impossible to shop without knowing the sex. We're having a girl. We're very excited. Still finalizing names. Biegal13, you've picked a nice name 'Zachary'. 16th december is not far off. How may weeks maternity leave are you going to take?
We had booked maternity clases for this weekend and the next weekend, now, we'll have to skip them due to my bedrest.
Mysty2001: hope you got some good advice from your physician on friday
Yea!! A beautiful girl!! So thrilled for you. YEA YEA YEA!!
Glad you are home resting. I had to do that test as well. I was lucky it came back negative... but very very very scary. But they aren't allowing me to work full weeks anymore as well. And my hips and pelvic joints really can't take that much movement these days. Mostly due to scar tissue from previous surgries.
I'll be taking three months of leave. I'm lucky that my work has onsite daycare and my hubby's parents lives near by and they want to take a day as well. I plan to work from home a min of one day a week as well.
We start our classes next week, c-section basics and basic baby care. I tried to not get my hopes up, so for years I didn't get to close to other babies b/c i knew it would make me sad. So now... i know NOTHING!! Never even changed a diaper!!! :) so exited to start taking these classes and this is actually happening! Now at 33 weeks, I'm finally starting to believe that Zachary will be here.
Hope everyone is doing well.... thinking good thoughts for all of you.
Biegel
I am a mom and yet when I had my baby a few years ago I had to call the nures because I had no idea how to do a disposable diaper like they have in the hospital!
I'm going to miss all our classes, so I've`purchased baby books and am reading them. For the preparation, I had very little shopping done, now I'll get it done thru my husband. We didn't get the disposable diapers since I've heard about diaper rash. I'm not sure if that's true. Bieagal13 and Mysty2001, did you get Baby showers? Which stores are you using? We're getting most of our stuff from Babyrus.
thank you for asking - i am OK - really sore in the inner theighs - they said I could come for a stress nonstress yesterday to see if I was ready to deliver and I declined? But now I regret it as I am nauseuas and uncomfortable
I did not get a shower
I haven't really shopped - I will do target and kmart probably - the baby stores are too far from my house
I still need to get diaper pins - I keep forgetting every time I am out
mysty2001 - I totally know what you mean about the inner thighs hurting, my pelvic has been killing me since 30 week. I'm almost 34 week and wow the pain. 4+ few days more weeks to go until the c-section. YEA!!
Hope2BPostive - I just had a work shower today and my friends from high school threw me a shower as well. I'm very lucky to have all of them. I mostly have been using Babyrus as well. I did a few things at potterybarn kids and babystyle as well.
We are doing cloth diapers, I have heard about the rash but my sister in law is a lactation consultant and raised her three kids with cloth diapers and had no issues. I've known others as well where it was fine as well. We plan to try it for three month and see how it goes. We like the idea of doing what we can for the enviorment, but it will depend on how we do. I have the baby basics class on Sat. So excited to learn things!! :)
I hope that everyone is doing fine. As for me I am ok 6 months and 1 week and cannot wait for my due date 25 february.
Did anyone experience any sort of itching all over the body, like on the belly, breast legs arms. Well I have been itching all over and it gets very annoying after a while. I use baby oil in the bathtub and lots of lotion and I even went to the doctor for it. The doctor gave me benadryl pills says it will help ease the itching and also calymine lotion, which I have to use after every shower I take. This has been going on for a few weeks now and I am really getting irritated about.
They even took blood work and the results will be back this week so I am pateiently waiting to see if its a major problem with the liver and bile as the doctor mentioned to me. In the meantime I am using tons of lotion and benadryl pills and baby oil and calymine lotion. I even took a bath today with baking soda since I heard it helps out to ease the itching.
I don't know what to do next.
Have anyone experienced this, I was told that it is normal for pregnant women to have itchy skin since the skin is stretching but I really believe mine itchy skin is a bit too unbearable. If anyone had these symptoms what did you use to control the itch?
Try Aveeno oatmeal baths for the itching or just plain old oatmeal in the bath. Glad to hear everyone is doing well. We are on our last try next week. We have six follicles growing and should be ready for retrieval early next week. It has been a long 2 1/2 years and we are just praying this IVF will be successful. We've been doing a lot of reading about autoimmune disease and infertility but the research is scarce, testing is expensive as is trreatment. Have any of you heard anything about that? The original work comes from Dr. Beer in california.
Mrpatsy: I had rashes on the abdomen around 17-18 weeks gestation. I went to a skin specialist and was given a low strength of steroid ointment to put on the rash. This was said to be pregnancy related. It went away in around a week of treatment.
Littlefeet: For my last IVF, I had changed my doctor and the new doctor did do some investigations for auto-immune disease although they were negative in my case. All the best for this try, hopefully this will be successful.
Biegal 13: You must be close to 35 weeks. I'm 31 weeks today. My husband is doing all the baby shopping now. After a lot of research we got Graco Snug ride infant seat. Which one have you got?
Mysty2001: You must be getting close to your due date. All the best
To: beigal 13, hope2bpositive, littlefeet and mysty2001, everyone else
littlefeet,
I tried teh oatmeal bath for a few days now and it has been workign so far. I am a bit nervous that I start itching a lot more again. I am also feeling alittle itch but not as much as before I used the aveeno oatmeal bath. I am hoping that this works and save me teh problems of this maddening itch. It is itchign all over my body like needle sticking me all over. Since I have used teh oatmeal it has left no rashes on my body.
Hope2bpositive,
The doctor did mentione to me about steriods but she said if its all over my body then it would be too much to put on and it may absorb into my body to teh baby. I did get back the blood owrk for the itchign and it came back negative so I am thinking that it is just pregnancy related and just the stretchign and drying of teh skin. I also use the aveeno oatmeal shower gel and the oatmeal body lotion.
I bought so many body lotion it is unbelievable at first they work then after a few days teh itchign starts back again. The doctor told me that if what I am using does not work then call her and she would refer em to teh dermetologist.
I am praying this oatmeal bath hold off and works fine for me. The itchign is especially around breast and around teh nipples. I also feel sharp sticking itches all over my body. I do not think that I am imagining things since it gets really uncomfortable wit it an dit ets maddening after a while..
Well Littlefeet hope things work out for you this time. With my very last try things worked since I had mad eup my mind that I was not going to do any more iVF cycles after the third one, so hang in there and pray it will work.
So good to hear from you littlefeet!! Colitus is an Autoimmune disorders and I was on many drugs for 7 years b/c of this disease. I am praying for you! please keep us informed. I have a really good feeling that this is YOUR time!
I'm about to hit 35 weeks and feel as big as a house. Zachary will be here on Dec 16th if not sooner. But so far... all seems to be going well. Still in a lot of pelivic, hip and joint pain, which they are telling me is normal for all of the previous surgries I've had. Also... just started getting leg cramps... hoping those go away soon. Overall I just feel lucky and can't wait to meet him.
Itching.... for some reason, baby powder did the trick for me. I had that for a few months as well. I also had horrible yeast infections due to the hormonal changes to our body. Glad I'm FINALLY getting some relief in that area. Funny... but wearing boxers seemed to really help!
Best to all of you... please keep sending updates!!!
Mrpatsy, Just some information that could help you with the itching. I too was having a serious itching problem. Could not sleep. Benadryl did not even help. My Doc did the test and everything came back negative. My Dad asked if I were using Tide Laundry Detg and I said I think so. He asked me to change to Gain and I did and guess what. The driving me crazy itching stopped and has not come back. Worth a try if you are using it. Keep in mind that I have never had any allergies and still do not. Just can not use tide while being pregnant. Weird I know.
Hope2bpositive, You are exactly one week ahead of me. I am 31 weeks today with twin girls. 1st IVF cycle. How is your energy level? Mine is not so good. Tired everyday and in bed by 8. Not at all what I am used too. Just wanted to say hi since we are so close.
Shannon
Our retrieval is scheduled for Wednesday morning with transfer most likely Saturday. We didn't have a great response to the meds this time, only five follicles--hopefully they each have a mature egg inside!! We still have a frozen embryo from last cycle--hopefully it survives the thaw!! Has anyone done assisted hatching? It's a possibility for us this time. Please let me know if anyone has any info. thanks.
SMA827: Congratulations on your twin pregnancy.Yup, I shall be 32 weeks tomorrow. Well my story changed since 28 weeks. I was working like crazy, when suddenly I had symptoms of preterm labor and have been put on bedrest. So nowadays I am at home in bed. What is your due date. Mine is Jan13th but due to symptoms of preterm labor around 28 weeks, I think most likely I shall deliver before that date. I hope to pass as much time as possible.
MrPatsy: I hope your itching is improving
Biegal13: Less than a month left for you to see little Zachary!!! Although I'm in bed for most of the day, but it seems my walk has changed and also I have gained a lot of weight, mostly in third trimester.
Littlefeet: Good luck with the retrieval. Remember, you just need one egg to form a baby, so don't worry. My prayers are with you. If I remember correctly, I think I had assisted hatching.
To: sma827, hope2bpositive, beigal 13, mysty2001, littlefeet
sma827, I have been using era detergent bu in early septemebr is started using arm and hammer, but then the itching started in early october. but i switched back to era a couple of weeks ago. The oatmeal bath has helped, but yesterday I skipped the oatmeal bath to see if the itching has finally stopped but I started itchign again in teh middle of teh night. SO I guess I have to continue teh oatmeal bath. I also started using cocoa butter to loition my body since it is much heavier and I have noticed that it helps with calming the itching too. So now I do oatmeal bath every day and then cocoa butter lotion after each bath. It calms it down, but I would really like it to stop completely for good. I cannot wait for teh day to wake up with no itch and no worry. Maybe I should go to teh dermatologist and see fi I can get somehting for it. I believe it is just a part of me being pregnant since I have not had allergies before. But I am tryign to cope.
hope2bepsoitive, Still itchign a bit but not as bad i'm doing the oatmeal bath, and cocoa butter lotion even though I hate the smell of cocoa butter I have to cope with it. Benadry pills did not work for me it had me in a daze and I could not sleep and calymine lotion only worked the first couple days. still hanging on now hopefully it goes away soon.
Littlefeet, good luck with the retreival tomorrow. I am keepign my fingers crossed for you.
Beigal13, hope things are going fine with you and you are preparing for your delivery and all excited about it. I just cannot wait until Feb so I can deliver too.
Mysty 2001 I also hope you are doing fine and things are going well with you.
We did assisted hatching with the frozen embryo. We were told that its a good thing to do with the frozen ones b/c the outer shell of the embryo is harder and the assited hatching helps with the implantation process.
Sending you all my positive thoughts and baby dust!!
Well, we had our retrieval this morning and got five eggs. We were happy as we were expecting only maybe 3, 4 at the most. However, before we left, they told us only two were mature. We are upset but hopeful. It only takes one right?!?! We told them we wanted to do assisted hatching so we'll know tomorrow where we stand. We also have one frozen one (quality not great) from last time. Please pray that the two fertilize and continue to grow and that the frozen embryo thaws, fertilizes, and goes in too. We'll keep you posted of course. Best to all, Littlefeet
Littlefeet:IVF is a rough road, We all have been. I hope your 2 eggs do good and as you said you have one from before, so that will give you 3, but you just need one for a healthy child. You shall be in my payers.
MrPatsy: Sorry to learn that you are stiill itching. Maybe a dermatoloist could provide some solution to your itching.
Biegal13: You must be working f or another week or os and then taking off . How's your preparation going for little Zachary. We're also gathering stuff. Now we have been looking outside Babiesrus for clothes shopping.
SMA827: How are things with you. Hopefully your energy level is becoming better. You must be purchasing everything double, it must be exciting.
Hey all.... its getting close. 21 days to the C-Section.
Have to say that I'm really uncomfortable these days. Sleeping and waking up every 2 hours and very achy. They say its b/c of all my scar tissue. Its all worth it... but I have to admit that I can't wait to have him here safe and sound and I can let my body rest a bit. Of course aside from the breastfeededing.
Littlefeel.... must be getting close for the transfer. How are you doing?
Best to all you ladies. I hope you all are doing well and getting some sleep! :)
Hi Nicole, Hang in there, you are almost there. You are in the home stretch and we are thinking of you.
Thanks for asking about us. We did the transfer on Saturday and both eggs fertilized and were put in. Both were 8 cells and one had already started compacting. They were Grade 2. We did assisted hatching and ICSI, so our fingers are crossed. The embryologist was thrilled but we've been there before. We had a third embryo that was frozen but it did not survive the thaw. The retrieval and transfer went great. Nothing like the last two times. Pregnancy test is scheduled for 12/3. This is truly the worst part. So far nothing to indicate if they implanted. No spotting, etc. Just the progesterone cramping & all. Impatiently waiting and praying and hoping and praying and wishing and......... Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
Mysty2001: Congratulations. It must be a great feeling to see and hold them finally. Do keep us updated about them
Littlefeet: Happy to know that your embryos were of good quality and the transfer went fine. Now is the time to relax, don't stress out.
Hopefully this will be your lucky cycle.
Biegal13: Like you, I am also very uncomfortable during night due to aches, specially backache. I'm 33 week now. I hope I can prolong the pregnancy till at least 37 weeks
In 3 weeks you wil be able to see and hold your little one!!!!
YEAAAAA LIttlefeet. I'm so glad that you had two to put back. It only takes ONE. The 2ww is the worst part of all of this.... i'm so praying for you.
Mysty2001... Yea for you too! Very happy that your little boy and girl are here!
Thanks for the support on all the aches and pains ladies. It helps just to let it out! Dec 16th is coming and I know its worth it. Hang in there Hope2Bpositive.... I know how you are feeling. But when we hold our babies, it will all be worth it.
Mr Pasty... how far along are you now? must be at the end of the 2nd trimester?
To: beigal13, hope2bpositive, mysty2001, littlefeet, everyone else
Beigal 13, I am 27 weeks this weeks, next Wednesday 3 Dec I would be 28 weeks. I cannot wait for February so that I can have this baby. I am having problems walking since between my legs hurt really bad and at night I cannot sleep at all. I finally do fall asleep at about 6am and sleep through the morning until noon every day.
Littlefeet, all the baby dust for you and good luck maybe this is thel ucky cyle, and things would work out just fine.
mysty2001. Congrats on the little ones both boy and girl. I wish I had twins so that I can have to complete set a boy and a girl at the same time and I do not have to go through this again.
Hope2bepositive, hope you are doing fine and things are getting pretty closer everyday for you. I am sure the pregnancy would be about 37 weeks. I am still having the itching. It doe snot leave a rash it just feels like needle and nails sticking me all over my body non stop and it gets really uncomfortable after a while. I use palmers cocoabutter lotion all over my body twice a day. Also i shower with the oatmeal bath everyday. It calms it down but if I try to stop the oatmeal bath or the cocoa butter lotion then the itching starts all over again. So I guess I have to continue it until I have the baby. Its the only thing that helps with the itching. I tried evevrything and it did not work. So cocoabutter lotion and oatmeal baths for me until february 25 2009 and thats when the baby is due. I finally started making my own oatmeal bath to soak in I grind the oatmeal up in a coffee grinder and it work really well.
Well I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving and are enjoying the time off for now.
We are asking each and every one of you to pray for a miracle for us. My HCG test today came back at only 14. I have to go back Friday for another test. The nurse said that most likely I have already lost, or am losing, the pregnancy. But there is a very slight chance that the embryo implanted very late and will survive. PLEASE pary for this miracle for us. We will hold out hope until they tell us it's over. Please send all the SSBD you can come up with our way. Thanks.
I am praying for you. Maybe the hcg levels will rise and will become higher. Keep fiath, your fingers crossed and pray a lot. We will all be keeping you in our prayers. From recent blogs that I have read the levels were low then they rose higher, so keep faith and it will happen.
Thank you so much for your prays and support. Unfortunately HCG went down today so there is no pregnancy. Difficult day as you all know. Best to all of you.
I'm sorry about the HCG going down. I can well understand, this is a very heartwrecking news, but you have to take it strongly and look for future strategy. See my inital 3 IVFs were failure, my doctor told me that I should go for donor eggs. I wasn't ready at that time for donor eggs, so I went into the CDC website and looked at places with higher success rates. So for my final 4 th cycle I changed my doctor, had to go to a different town and got this IVF. During investigations they also found a small leiomyoma, which was removed and subsequent to that I got pregnant. My summary of the story is don't loose hope, make a startegy for future and go for it. Everything has ups and downs.
I'm so sorry. I know this is really hard for both you and your husband. My prayers are with you both right now. Please let us know if we can do anything for you. Its times like this where I wish we knew each other more than just online and I could at least give you a hug. Please know that I'm giving you a virtual one as I type this.
I am sorry. Maybe next time it would work out. Please do not give up hope. I had to do teh IVF three times. First a fresh cycle, teh hcg was 31 then it dropped after 3 days and I was devastated. The second was a frozen cycle and it did not work out. The third time, I did a fresh cycle got all teh rest I needed and it worked for me with one embryo. Maybe the enxt shot of IVF would be better. I am even older too 42 years and I was so convinced that I could not get pregnant. I am sure you are a bit younger and things would work fine with another attempt. SO keep your chin up and don't give up. It is very painful and I am sure you are probably in tears too. So cheer up it would work for you
Littlefeet: Hope you're better now. I know how it feels, but you have to keep going. Hopefully it will happen next time.
MrPatsy: You must be close to 30 weeks now. How's your itching?
Biegal13: Less than a week left for you to meet your son. Must be excited!! Are you finished with all the preparations. We're now getting stuff for room decoration.
Mysty2001. How are the babies doing? Must be keeping you busy.
I'm 35 weeks today. I went in for a doctor's visit today. My baby is still breach, so around 37 weeks (24th dec), the doctor will try to turn her so that her head faces downwards, if he is successful, then he'll probably induce me at the same time, if not then I shall have to o through a C-section.,So maybe around Christmas I might be able to meet my little girl!!!
Just a few more days to go. Tuesday the 16th is approaching!!! I'm pretty freaked about the c-section, but seeing little Zach will make it all worth it. Can't believe its almost time.
All the best for the C-section. Everything will be fine. Must be exciting to finally see little Zach. Don't worry, relax!!
It seems I might also have to go through a C-section if my baby remains breech
Hi ladies I just had my transfer yesterday and I came home and stubbled upon this site looking for hope, answers to questions and inspiration. I just wanted to know did any of you feel any cramping after your transfer.
Well, this 2 weeks wait period is the worst in IVF, the time flies very slowly and each and every symptom appears suspicious. I didn't have cramping following my transfers, but I think I have read at other postings about the cramping.
Little Zachary Francis is here! We are so in love with him. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Thank you all for your support through all of this. Hope2Bpostive... you are next!! I wish you all the joy that we had on Tuesday. I know your little girl will be a wonderful Holiday gift.
Great to hear from you. I was waiting for your posting. It must be a wonder to finally see and feel little Zachary. He must be keeping you busy. How are you doing after the C-section?
I am completing my 37 weeks tomorroww, so I have been called in on 26th for rotation of the breech. There is a small posssibility that I might deliver on 26th!!! Let's see.
MrPatsy: Hope you're doing fine.
To: beigal13, hope2bpositive, mysty2001, littlefeet, daybyday1212
Hi everyone,
Beigal13, congratulations, I bet its all so much joy to finally hold that baby after all. I am happy for you that things went fine and you finally have your baby. I got until about february 25 and I am praying and hopeing that I go to teh full 37 weeks then into labor and then have a normal birth and happy and healthy baby too. I cannot wit for February to get here as soona s possible.
Hope2bpositive,
Hope you are doing fine and I think that you might be having your baby real soon too. I hope things go finne for you and you have a healthy and easy delivery. As for my itching it is still here. I have to actually paste myself with cocoabutter thta is my whole body and shower with the aveeno oatmeal shower gel and bath. And those two actually help me but as soon as I skip a day of cocoa butter or the oatmeal bath it starts all over again. All the liver test very normal so I guess its nothing to worry about. I went to the dermatologist and he suggested I do a thyroid test. I will know the results on Wednesday when I go back to the doctor. I guess the thyroid tests were normal or else I would have gotten a pphone call by now. I guess I just have to live with it until my delivery. I heard it all goes away after you give birth.
Mysty2001, Hope you and your babies are doing fine too.
Littlefeet, Hang in ther and keep ypur hopes up. My husband and I have to pay for teh IVF precedure since our medial did not cover it. We also spent a lot of money egtting pregnant so don't give up.
daybyday1212, I had alot of cramping after I did my second fresh egg retreival. Some people cramp while other don't cramp. I hope that thing work weel for you and all goes fine. So hang in there and get as much rest as needed.
Hope everyone is fine. Our daughter is finally with us. I delivered her on December 28th, at gestation age 37.4. She was breech initially, by external cephalic version we got her turned, but soon after that I started bleeding. The next day when I went for check up the doctors decided to induce me, so I delivered her vaginally with epidural.
Its so much fun to finally hold her. Nowadays most of our time is spent with her.
Mrpatsy: Now you're next. Couple of weeks left for you. I hope your itching doesn't bother you too much.
Biegal13: You must be enjoying little Zachary.
hope2bpositive, I am happy for you and your newborn baby. I am next, my due date is 25 February. I am happy that you had a vaginal delivery and everything went fine. I am praying and hoping for a normal vaginal delivery too. I am currently 32 weeks next wendesday I would be 33 weeks. I am pretty close and a bit excited and nervous at the same time. It would be my very first baby and also I am older so I hope that I do not have to have a Csection. I would like to experience what its like to have a normal birth. Also I am trying to get all the rest that I need at this time since I heard that after the baby is born then you get no rest at all. I guess I have to wait unitl 36 weeks and see if everythign is fine then the doctor would advise me on everything.
beigal13, hope you and baby Zachary is doing fine and everything is going well for you both. I am also preparing a bit for the baby homecoming. like bauying teh necassary things etc and also for going to the hospital for delivery too.
Will keep everyone updated on teh latest developments too.
Hope evryone is doing fine.
MrPatsy: You must be excited as the final date is aproaching. You must be around 36 weeks now. Another couple of weeks and then you will be able to enjoy your daughter.
Biegal13: Thanks for the wishes. Little Zachary must be keeping you busy like our daughter, who keeps us busy. I can say, everything starting from fertility treatment till now is worth it.
Today, our daughter is 1 month old, it seems she has changed a lot over the past month!!
I had a rare complication in the postpartum period, postpartum urine retention. Had to use cathetor followed by a drug to void urine. I'm happy to say that it has finally resolved!
I am 36 weeks and 1 day yesterday. I can feel a bit og heaviness in the pelvic area especially when I move around wuite a bit. I am really getting uncomfortable and restless and I cannot find a good position to sit or relax or even lie down in.I know It would be anytime now, so I am a bit nervous and don't know what to expect at childbirth or even after the baby is born. I bet motherly instinct kicks in then.
Beigal 13. I am happy for you and baby Zachary, and wish you well in the future, maybe you can try again for another baby in a few months.
Hope2bepositive, Glad to hear you are doing fine and so is the baby. I am excited about having this baby, I bet I would feel like about 20 pounds lighter then.
I would let you all know updates in the next few days. So far only the Braxton Hicks symptoms and a few uncomfortable days and pelvic pressure.
MrPatsy: You are getting close to your EDD, so wish you all the best. I know your little girl will be wonderful and will bring you great joy. I hope you have an easy delivery.
Keep us informed.
Nowadays our daughter keeps us very busy, I really enjoy taking care of her.
Yesterday I was 38 weeks. I am still here waiting for the baby to decide when its time to come out. I am excited and preparing for it but I am a bit nervous since I am going to be a first time mom and I do not know what to expect. I hope that maternal instinst kicks in then.
Hope2be psoitive I hope your baby girl is fine and you are enjoying every moment of it.
Beigal13 I also hope you are enjoying you little zachary.
I will update everyone on everythign as the days go by or when I do go into labor and deliver. Last week teh doctor said that I had dialated 1cm but then this week I saw another doctor and she said that she did not think that I had dialated yet. She said that maybe the baby is not ready ready yet. But I am ready for this baby anytime now, especially I am getting really uncomfortable especially at night time.
I am 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant and still no labor pains yet. I am getting so anxious and frustrated now. The doctor told me that by 9 March if I do not deliver the baby thenthey would induce me. I am hoping that I go into labor naturally sometime this week or this weekend.
I am so anxious to see teh baby and know that it is finally safe after 40 plus weeks. My due date was 25 February which was yesterday so i am a bit agitated that the baby has not come yet.
I am so glad to find this site I am also in 2ww this is my 3rd IVF They did my retrieval on 2/19/09. My ET was 2/23/09 I am now in 4 days wait, I am so glad that I am not the only one who felt that the 2ww wait is forever, I can wait to have my blood test on March 6th. My 1st and 2nd IVF was done overseas both of them feild due to my tube being blocked. My doctor recommend me to remove my tube to have more chances of the IVF to work before I go to my 3rd IVF procedure. Which this is what we did and as my DH support like what he said my tube was useless anyway mine as well get it remove what a good support huh!.
This is my first time to do the IVF after my tube was remove I heard differnt story from other people that some time it works and some time it does not, so I am crossing my finger that I hope I hear some good news when I go for my blood test. They retrieve 13 eggs, but then only 11 fertilized when we went to the hospital for emby transfer the doctor told us that only 4 embies might have the chance to be transfer which is number 2 and number 3 number 4 and 5 have the slight chance. They said that they can trasnfer 3 becuase of my age and freeze the other one, we ask the doctor what is the chance for the one to make it when its thaw, becuase our 2nd IVF we freeze 6, but all of embies did not make the thaw good thing we have a doctor who is honest all he can say is slight chance that it will survive the thaw and it will be a miracle if it did
Doctor left the office and make us decide what we need to do so DH and I decide to ask if they can transfer all 4 he said that because of my 2 failed IVF and my age he didn't have any problem transferring 4. So now here I am waiting for that two weeks. I take two weeks off I haven't take my vacation in 2 years in half so I save this vacation for me to rest after my IVF. Plus I been taken progesterone that my one chick is in pain that it is hard to walk some time.
did any of you had hurt burn on the 1-4 days atfer embreyo transfer? did you felt like no matter what you do it was hot, but then taken the temp it was ok? I am just thinking that maybe this is just my imagination. I am also having brown discharge, but I guess base on your story it is normal.
Good luck for those of you who is waiting for the result and congratultions for those of you receive a good news, for those of you who did not have a good news we just have to wait for our turn I am sure that god is thinking about us and he will let us know when its our time. I know what you guys is feeling I had been throught that 2 times and it was divastating. Reading your story and my DH support I am keeping my hopes on and thinking positive, I know its hard, but this site really helps me a lot to read good story. My 5 day wait is tomorrow the more I keep my mind busy the more I don't think about how long it is. I was thinking of buying HPT, but my DH told me just to wait until my blood test. He is positive that this time it will work I hope he is right.
Hi. I also post on another site and came across this one. I too am in my 2ww and will have my blood test done on Monday. I had my retrieval done on the 16th and the transfer done on the 19th of February. 3 more days to go, and I am excited about the results.
Your story is similar to mines. After an ectopic pregnancy last April, the doctor felt that I should remove both tubes as they were damaged and of no use and in order for IVF to have a better chance of success, so my husband and I agreed. After the surgery, I cried, knowing I could no longer conceive the normal way.
On the day of retrieval, they were 8 follicles. They fertilized 6. Only 5 were implanted as the 6th one didn't look good. I had 4 8 cell embryos and 1, 5 cell embryo that they implanted. A total of 5. I am hoping that at least 2 of them will make it.
I didn't have too much cramps. The cramps I felt were like the ones I get when I am about to get my period, but all the other women told me that it's the medications playing with my mind. I also had breast tenderness, but they are gone as well. I sometimes get some cramps but it comes and goes
The progesterone shots...ooohhhh...they hurt dont' they. I have learned that if you walk it off for at least about an hour, it helps to loosen up the oil and you won't hurt as much. I take mines when I awake and am up for the rest of the day, so it gives the medications the chance to move. My doctor did not want me taking them at night because he didn't want me to just sit on the couch or go to sleep because he said it would hurt more if I did it that way. He was right. I don't hurt as much, just a little. My husband alternate on the injection site, so it's not too bad. I still take my estrogen, baby aspirin, and pre-natal vitamins.
Thanks for the info, Good Luck! on Monday. Sorry I am still new with all the medicine that we are taken what is the estrogen and the baby aspirin for? I am familiar with the clomid, nasal spray and the novarel this is what I take before for my 1st and 2nd IVF, but this time I take different kind, my ER prescribe me gonal-f, lupron, menopur, novarel, and now pregesteron. I didn't take this before so I don't know the effect that much.
I am not sure if this is all my imagination, After my 1-3 days ET I felt funny, I was hot and not sure why felt like having a fever, but then I took my temp it was ok, I did have discharge the 2nd day after ET until now, but not that much, I felt the cramp on and off, I felt my BB like something is inside land pooking my BB, but only a few second. I know it's too ealry to tell if I am preggy and I am probably imiginating it.
Today is my 5 days of waiting I have 7 more days to go I can't wait, I notice that few of the ladies have thier test early of some of them have thier test 14 days after ET, I guess this is probably the reason why I having two, I will do my blood test on the 6th then on the 8th for the second test.
The pregesteron shot is not that bad any more, but I take mine at night, I guess I was used taken the rest of the medicine at night and I just keep the time the same. I was told that putting ice in your chick you wont feel that much pain, and they are right, but two things that I do after my shot I normally massage my chick then put a heat pad for about 10 to 15 minute it feel better, I cant wait for the doctor to tell me stop taken the shots, I felt like my left chick is being abuse, I hate to do it on the other side. But I guess if I have to keep the shots longer then I might not have a choice to use the other chick.
Hope you deliver soon. Your baby is having a good time inside!!! All the best with your delivery. Update us on your status.
My daughter is now 2 months old. We're greatly enjoying her. My maternity leave is finishing, I shall join back work tomorrow.
Hi nice to hear that your baby is doing fine. I am still pregnant going on 41 weeks this wednesday. The doc said that if I do not deliver this week they would talk about inducing me on 9 march. I have to do stress test last week and also this week. The baby is moving around and they said that its doing fine. I am the only one in paina nd fustration due to no delivery yet. I hope that if they induce me that i have a natural birth. Actually I cannot wait for the baby to come into this world. I think since its winter here and cold teh baby decides to stay longer all because she is warma nd ahppy and getting all that good food every day. I don't blame her. I hope that beigal13 is doing fine with little zachary too. The longer the baby stays then I would be home longer so I am a bit happy about that too.
I will update you all later on the new developments.
Good news now, on 6 March I got induced since the baby was past its due date february 25.I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I had a virginal delivery and was happy about that instead of doing a C section. My husband and I are so happy and all excited about it.
Today she is 1 week old and doing fine. She drinks milk all day and sleeps all day. I am also adjusting to the changes of getting up at all times at night and feeding her and also changing her diapers ever so often. I just cannot wait until grows some more so that I can play with her and read her so many bedtime stories and take her on fun trips in summer and anywhere I go on vacation.
This has been quite an experience for me and I thank each and everyone of you who supported me through this IVF pregnancy.
Hope2bpositive hope you and the baby girl and fine.
Beigal13, I hope that little Zachary and you are doing fine and that he is growing really fast too.
I have to go back to work in a few weeks too about 6weeks.
Keep in touch maybe in a few more months I would go for another shot at IVF again. I never regretted this experience.
Hey all, I'm new to this site, but not new to the Infertility battle. I started in June '07 and have worked my way up (though my Dr was SURE I'd never need to...) to IVF. Infertility is unexplained, my DH and I are both 37 (just recently turned) and I just had my second IVF transfer (on my birthday!) 3/7; this being my third round of IVF (first time none fertilized). I'm making myself a little crazier the closer I get to the 2ww date (Thursday 3/19). This time 8 follicles, 4 fertilized, 3 survived (Dr was pleased with quality) a 7BF, 6BF and 5BF (in case grading is different, Dr said very good eggs, all growing on 3 day, little more than "top grade" fragmentation (hence the B) but all had fair to good symmetry). Transferred all three, Dr was joking about possible 6 but def not octuplets..Ha, ha. Not funny. I'd take one and be more than happy with that. Not feeling much, Breasts were more sore a few days ago though reading up this can be normal as the IVF drugs cycle out, lost 4 pounds this week ( I know I'm not supposed to stress- but COME ON! How do you not!), headache backache coming and going (though I have back issue but usually not a come and go thing) and a weird few second dizzy spell earlier today. Last IVF chemical pregnancy and in Dec '07 lost 1 embryo 8 weeks after sucessful IUI. I'm just feeling sorry for myself and needed to see if anyone out there has experienced these symptoms and what the outcome was...I am temped to take an HPT though I know it's too early and I'm trying to wait till Thursday morning to do one...this way if they call with a BFN, I won't be crushed...well I will be crushed but not as "not ready for that news"...I'm still praying for a BFP but how can I stay positive with almost 2 years of nothing. And no reason why. Anyone?
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
You must be enjoying your daughter. They grow so quickly. Is she waking you at night. Our daughter is now almost 13 weeks old. I love spending time with her.
I have joined back work and its become very busy. I hate to leave her at home!! But can't help.
I might also go for another IVF to give our daughter a sibling.
Enjoy your time off with your daughter.
hope2bpositive, I am enjoying babysitting with my daughter. She sleeps during the day and wakes up at night and sometimes keep me up all night long. Yesterday she was three weeks old and growing fast. Her clothes is getting tight for her so I would have to go shopping for new ones this week. I go back to work on April 20, but I wish that I do not have to go back to work anymore. I would have to leave my daughter in day care and I kind of feel uncomfortable leaving her with anywhere even day care. But I cannot do anything but go back to work and let her stay in day care for a few months.
I am enjoying evry minute with my daughter and lvoing it. I thing that she is the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me. I love her so much and miss her even for a few minutes. I am glad that your daughter is doing fine and you are also enjoying being with her. I bet you miss her very day and feel so sad to leave her home when you go to work.
Beigal13, Hope little Zachary is fine and that you are doing fine too.
How's your daughter doing? Our daughter is now 3 months old. Her activities have changed a lot since she was born. I'm planning for another IVF. I shall be going to the clinic (which is out of state) for some investigations, this monday.
My daughter is doing fine and growing fast. She is now about 1 month and 1 week and 2 days old and she weighs about 11 pounds. Most of her clothes do notf it anymore so I tried the 3-6 months sizes and she has almost outgrown those too, so now I am switching the clothes to the 6-9 months sizes. I am so suprised at the way she has been growing fast. As for sleeping at night, every night I have to wake up two or three times and feed her and change her diapers. But I love her so much, I do not even want to leave her in day care to go back to work. I go to work on 20 April, so I hope I can cope with the lack of sleep at nights and leaving her in day care each day. I left her today for 7 hours with my husband and I was so happy to see her when I got back home. Being a mom is a wonderful thing and its a lot of hard work too, also I noticed that it brings out a lot of maternal instinct in a woman and most of the instinct or sixth sense is always exactly correct.
I am planning on doing another ivf, but I will have to wait until later on this year or early next year to do it. I have two frozen embryos so I am planning on using those and hope they survive the thaw out, instead of doing another fresh cycle, which is very expensive since I have to pay for ivf out of my pocket. I do not want towait too long to do ivf since I am 43 years old and would be 44 in november. So I am planning and hoping to do it soon or either get pregnnat naturally, either way hope it works for me.
I am hoping thta this shot of ivf goes fine for you too. Its good to finish up the baby making all together and get it over with. I am still trying to lose the weight that i gained from being pregnant.
Its so suprising that the time has gone by so fast. It was just like yesterday that I was pregnant and today I have a baby girl.
Will talk to you soon and let me know how the ivf investigation goes.
Hope your transition to work was smooth. How is your baby doing? My baby is now 16+ weeks old. Her activities keep on changing. We have kept a nanny for her.
My investigations last week were fine. They think the results are even better than last year. I might go for a transfer of frozen embryos in August.
Nowadays I am also concentrating in loosing the extra weight which I had put on. I still have around 18 more pounds to loose!!!
My week back to work is ok for now. Someone else was working at my desk and computer so they stick me in another office to work. But I think its a bit easier and less stress and less people trying to get me to do work for thema nd less deadlines to meet at this new office. My mother is watching teh baby for me until I put her in day care on 4 May that is when they have a spot available for my baby.
My baby is only 7 weeks and it seems like yesterday that she was born, and she is growing fast. She is now wearing 6-9 months clothes. She has outgrown the 0-3 months and also tHE 3-6 months clothes. I hope that I am not overfeeding her. I am glad that everythign went well with you appointment. This time around you would be better prepared and I think it would be much better to handle an IVF procedure as you already have a baby. It would not be difficult if it does not work out well.
I myself have two frozen embryos and would do another shot at IVF. I am taking a little time off then after christmas then I would use the frozen embryos.
I had to buy new clothes to go to work in, my clothes could not fit me on Sunday so I had to rush around at the last minute. I was 169 lbs, three weeks after goving birth I was 142. Then in the past week or two I went to 140. I still have to lose about 15 - 20 lbs and I do not know how to start. I am still pumping breast milk and feeding the baby, so I have to eat well and not diet too much. I would wait until after I stop breast feeding then I would start a good diet plan. I am exercising though so hopefully I would lose the extra weight.
Well you keep us updated on the new embryo transfer and I would also update you on everything that going on with me.
How are you and the baby. On Friday the Baby Caroline was 3 months 2 weeks old. She is growing fasta nd I am so impresses. I sing for her and she attempts to talk back and also sing. Apart form keeping me up most nights she is doing fine and I am coping great.I love her so much.
Anyways how di dyour round of IVF went. I have two embryos left in storage and I intend to use it sometime soon maybe September or even in April or May next year.
I have not seen you online in a hwile and was wondering if things went as you planned.
Sorry to be so late in replying. My job has been very busy lately, so couldn't not check this site. Good to know that your daughter is doing fine and is growing fast. My daughter is is now 7 months old. Yours must be close to 5. Although she's 7 months, I'm buying clothes for 9-12 months old. She has become very naughty, she likes to pull my hair.
Anyway, a surprise, I was going for embryp transfer in july but I became pregnant naturally in May. I cancelled my embryo transfer. This weekend, I completed 13 weeks. I'm waiting for my first look ultrasound results. Hope they turn out fine.
Keep in touch, Love to your daughter.
Nice to hear from you again and to know that your daughter is doing well. I am so happy that you have gotten pregnant naturally so thats a plus for you. I am also thinking about doing another round of IVF since I have two embry left, I am thinking of using it up instead of leaving it there. It might be well worth it. After that then I will try naturally since i had to pay out of pocket for the three rounds of IVF which totalled up to about $35,000, since my insurance only pays for the dcotors visits and the cheaper medicine and the ultra sound alone, so most of the IVFwas very expensive for me. I am so happy to have a a daughter now. This is the only grandchild in both my side of the family and also for my husband side of his family too. So having her is a real joy and it made so many people happy. I consider it a miracle and a blessing from god.
I am so happy for you and I hope things are fine with the ultra sound.
My daughter turned 5 months on 6 Augusta nd she has been trying to sit up and roll over. She rolls over if she is on the bed since it is softer and more squishy, but whne I put her on a hard surface such as teh ground then it is a bit more for her to do. So far she is doing great eating rice cereal and also she has already started pulling at my hair. I cannot believe that she is growing so fast. She fits exactly inot the 9 months clothing that I bought her so now I am buying 18 months clothing for her so it would last a long time even though it is a little bigger. I think that she would be tall when she grows up. I enoy every minuter with my daughter even though when she gets cranky I get a bit nervous and annoyed.
Anyways keep in touch and good luck with the ultra sound and keep me updated. I am seroiusly thinking of oding teh IVF sooner than I planned since I would be 44 years in November my clock is ticking adn I do not want to wait too long.
Keep me updated adn I will also update you on happenings.
Nice to know that your daughter is doing fine. My daughter is also growing very fast. She has become quite naughty and also shows her anger sometimes. She loves pulling hair and nowadays wants to explore everything. I am now 15 weeks pregnant. My First Look ulttrasound and the blood tests went fine. Today I went for quad screening. Hopefully it should be fine.
Good to know that you are also planning to get the frozen embryos transferred.
Love to your daughter.
Nice to know that you are doing fine and so too love for your daughter. Good that things are going fine with the pregnancy too and I hope the quad test went fine. My daughter too has been getting angry quite a bit when she plays, especially ehen shes tired and I have a book that has a fish and it squeaks and I will squeeze it for her to hear, but when she plays with the book it does not squeak so she gets a bit upset and starts getting irritable, angry and screaming. Maybe its normal for the babies to show their anger when things like this happens. I was kind of worried about her this week. I though it was a bit unusual for her to behave like that. I am still debating when to use the last two frozen emryos we have. I'd like to do so soon maybe early next year.
Anyways she is doing fine and growing fast. Well keep me updated and so will I. I think that having this baby is the most wonderful thing that ever happen to me and it made many people happy too. I think that she is the most precious thing in the world and I would not change it for nothing.
Well I have to go now, so talk to you later on and keep me updated.
Good to know things are going fine with you and your daughter. My daughter is also fine. She keeps us all busy. Nowadays my in laws are visiting us, so she has company during the daytime. She has started developing her taste. She does not like to have formula, she resists it as much as she can. We have started her on solids. Is your daughter also taking something besides milk?
I have my 18 weeks ultround scheduled this coming tuesday. The quad screening went fine.
Hope you're having a good time with your daughter. My daughter is also growing up fast and is becoming very naughty day by day. She doesn't want to ride in the car seat. She always wants to be picked up in the car. She wants to explore new things. I had my 18 weeks ultrasound. Things went well. My due date in Feb 6th, 5 more months to go...
Nice to hear that things are goign fine with the pregnancy and you are almost halfway there so hang in there. I know it must be different now knowing that you know exactly what to expect in this pregnancy.
Good that your daughter is doing well. My daughter is growing so fast it is like an adventure with her. Over this past weekend I caught her saying da da da over and over agin so she is learning to speak now, wish she can say ma ma ma. I also started her on cereal mixed with formula and a fruit, either banana or pears or applesauce and also some 1st foods vegetables sucha s squash, sweet peas, green beans, carrots,. She like it and now she hardly ever drinks her formula. Most fo teh times I try to feed her formula and she drinks it then I feed her her cereal.
She changes every day and does different things so it is rather like seeing a differnt side of her each day. She si 6 months 1 week and 5 days old today. It is fun and oh so emotional. When I look back it seems like yesterday that I was wishing, praying and hoping for a baby now today its like a dream become reality. I love my daughter and would not change it for anythign in the world. She is still in day care and she loves being around teh other babies. At times when I go t pick her up she kicks and plays and wnats to stay with her baby friends. Its really an adventure with her. My duaghter also has been pulling onmy hair like crazy. She even started scratchign and pinching t my face. I even saw a few bruises from her pinches on my face when she holds on she does not want to let go of either my hair lips, cheeps or any part of my face. She also is getting naughty and she is more sensible nos since she cries whenver I drop her off in day care or when I have to put her down to do other things.
I do hope you ultrasound goes fine and that things work well for you. Its good that your quad test went well too. I am in teh middle of changing jobs a two months so I kind fo have to put a hold on the next IVF for at least a couple of months too. I ams till thinking of doing teh frozend embryo transfer in November or December this year, and thats when I change jobs so it is a bit difficult to do right now.
Can Someone please help me I am 29 yrs old this is my first IVF I did 3 day ET on 11th September they transferred two 6 cells grade 2 eggs. Today is day 11 after ER and everytime I use the BR and wipe I will see blood on the tissue do you think this is a bad sign I called my Fertility Clinic and they advised that I must continue my meds and do my beta on Friday. What advise can you or anyone on this forum give to me I am all stressed out that my ivf had failed.
I have heard from others that they sometimes they bleed after an IVF procedure and still gets a positive pregnancy test. Maybe its just excess blood from teh embryo attachment, thats what others say. I wish you luck and hope that things work out for you. I was very nervous and anxious when I did my first IVF procedure. Maybe just relax and take it easy. I am sure things will work out for you. maybe on Friday it will be great and good news.
Sorry for the late response. I was keeping very very busy with my job so did not come on the net. I am now 25 weeks pregnant. We're having a boy this time, but unfortunately, I developed similar complications like last time, with cervical problems and have been put on bed rest. So nowdays I am at home enjoying our daughter, who is now 10 months old, very naughty, trying to explore everything and crawling all around the house.
With love to your daughter,
Bye,
Hope2Bpositve
I'm in the same boat as you. the twin was too small and the heart stopped bleeding. So for now, I too on;y have one. But this one is strong and I really pray that peanut (that's what I call him/her) will be a fighter and make it through. I pray the same for you. I'm on bed rest today b/c the bleeding just stopped. And they want to see me tomorrow as well.
I'm 12 weeks today... so hoping soon this fear will be over and we can start celebrating!
Mrpatsy,
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Best,
Nicole
Mrpatsy: I hope you are relaxed and are hanging in there. Definetly your days off work will be beneficial for you. Don't stress out, relax and hope for the best. I shall also think about you.
As for me I am still resting and hoping that things work this time. I do the pregnancy test next week Wednesday. I have to do blood work again tomorrow morning to check the hormones level. On Tuesday the nurse said that everything was fine so I hope that tomorrow everything is also fine too and I do not have to swallow any more pills again.
Our extra embryos of three two survived the balstocast stage so we decided that we will freeze them for future use. Hope they are healthy and survives in the future.
I am sure things will work out for you beigal 13 and hope2bepositive.
Well I wish you both the best and hang in there. I am also hanging in there too and praying for the best.
Mrpatsy: Hope your blood test went OK today. Stay calm till you hCG blood test next wednseday, although it is easy to say but difficult to follow.
Tearts: Congratulation to you too!!!! You have an encouraging experience!! Keep us posted about your well being.
teart - that is so neat congrats
Babyluving, best wishes for the triplets I am sure they will be fine keep praying.
Tearts congratulations on you pregnancy. I was hoping that in between iVF that a miracle had happened so I do not have to go through the IVF torture again but it did not.
can;t wait to hear your levels on fri
Babyluving... wishing you the best.
Everyone thanks for the baby dust and all the good luck. I guess after 3 months I would be on my way to being a new mom. I will keep everyone updated on it.
thanks everyone for the support
I couldn't be happier for you! Good strong numbers! YEA YEA YEA!!
Hope2Bpostive,
Hope you are doing well.
Littlefeet,
Miss you! How's accupunture going?
Babyluving,
Please let us know how you are all doing. We are all thinking about you all.
Best,
Nicole
Great to know that your numbers have been jumping. This last cycle has been good for all of us. Just relax, you shall do fine
Biegal13,
I am 11&1/2 weeks now. Luckily the last 2-3 weeks have gone smoothly. As I mentioned in my previous posting, I am lanxious for the genetic screening, since I am 37 years old. Not much morning sickness for me. How are you doing? You must be close to 14 or 15 weeks by now.
Babyluving,
Hope your babies are doing fine and are growing rapidly
my doc liked to do levels alot
day 9, 11, then maybe 5 and 7 days after that
then the next week
didn;t believe in u/s till hb so wanted to make sure levels always increasing
they should increase till you are well beyond ultrasound and they stop taking them
good luck
Finally as Mysty2001 said, U/S is done to see the heartbeat as well as the number of sacs, if they don't see heartbeat in the initial U/S then they repeat it.
So far so good for me. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I wonder what happened to sarahandabraham from the previous blogs! I hope that they are fine and getting good news soon.
I remember Abraham&Sarah from last yer. She didn't post anything after nov-december. Hope she has some good news too.
What sympoms are you having? For me its increased urination, breast tenderness, tiredness and I think my tummy is showing up litle bit!!
Best to you both,
Nicole
Nicole
Beigal13 and hope2bepositive I hope that things are still fine with you both and wish everyone else the best of luck. I would be keeping in touch and updating everyone on any new happenings.
18 weeks and got some exciting news! We are having a BOY! We are so excited! My husband is over the moon excited.
Only hard thing is that his head is right on my bladder so it makes it hard for me to pee. But aside from that... I'm feeling GREAT!
Thanks for sharing in our excitment! :)
Hope you both are doing well.
Nicole
Mrpatsy: hope things are going well with.
Hope2bepostive and beigal13, I hope that things work out fine with your tests. I guess my turn woudl be next with the amnio test and a couple other tests too.
Keep us informed and I would update you with the latest new developments.
Best!
Nicole
Nicole
Littlefeet: I hope this cycle is successful for you. Even my 4th cycle was suucessful after 3 failed ones. I had also changed my doctor for this try. I wish you good luck. Keep us informed.
Biegal 13 and Mrpasty: my blood results from the quad screen came back good, combined with the ultrasound everything looks fine, so we are not going for amniocentesis. Mrpatsy: you must be finally over with your 1st trimester, hopefully you shall start feeling better. Biegal13: you must be feeling the baby move. When did that start. I'm still waiting for it.
Best to all of you! :)
I am also having long working hours nowadays, its almost 12 hours. I was having backache, I was called today for a check-up to rule out a preterm labor. They think that the backache is because of musculo-skeletal issues.
Hope everything becomes fine quickly for you
SO they put me on no working until I am cleared by OBGYN to go back to work.
Best to you both!
Nicole
I too have sleeping problems. Its difficult to sleep on the sides, since I also used to sleeping on my stomach.I think that is what precipitating backache for me. Its intermettent, and also may be my long work hours.
Its a pleasure to feel the baby move. Sometimes the kicks are really strong. I keep giving commentary to my husband regarding the movements.
MrPatsy: Hope your bleeding is slowing down and you're relaxing at home.
me - I am 27 weeks 3 days today. Glucose test MOnday and next u/s at hospital. A little slow growth on twin A/. Tired and starting to show noticeably
Wish me luck ladies. I LOVE my ice cream!! :)
Hope you all are feeling well.
Nicole
Biegal 13: Well, nowadays I'm enjoying ice-cremes too. My work schedule is very heavy nowadays. It should become a bit relaxed by the end of next week. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow. Best of luck for the test on friday.
Hope2Bpositive - glad you are doing well. And thanks for the well wishes on Friday.
I would update evryone on any new developments.
one boy and one girl
29 weeks and gest diab test tomorrow
mysty2001: goodluck for the gest diabetes test. I have mine scheduled for October 8th
Best to all of you!
Hope you are doing well.
Nicole
Haven;t gone over results with doc - but baby girl has a really small sac (they knew she was behind in growth so now they know why) I guess doc will tell me where we go from here
baby boy looks "awfully big" according to tech
anxious to follow up with doc - so I can hear his advice on what to do!
(haven;t gotten diabetes results becuase first appt was canceled - next one was 1pm and I was not fasting - so I drank half the bottle 1/2 hour before blood draw - oh well)
Biegal 13: You've gone thru a lot.
I've been doing good except that I've been having some backaches and am following up with musculo-skeletal doctors for that. I have my glucose test this coming wednesday.
Will update everyone.
keep us posted
I am 35 weeks on Friday - little girl is WAY little so they will make some decisions on fri I hope
Mr Patsy... hope you are doing well.
Thinking of all of you.
Nicole
We had booked maternity clases for this weekend and the next weekend, now, we'll have to skip them due to my bedrest.
Mysty2001: hope you got some good advice from your physician on friday
Nicole
I am a mom and yet when I had my baby a few years ago I had to call the nures because I had no idea how to do a disposable diaper like they have in the hospital!
How are things going for you? Thinking about you.
Nicole
All the best to you both and everyone else.
Nicole
Littlefeet: For my last IVF, I had changed my doctor and the new doctor did do some investigations for auto-immune disease although they were negative in my case. All the best for this try, hopefully this will be successful.
Biegal 13: You must be close to 35 weeks. I'm 31 weeks today. My husband is doing all the baby shopping now. After a lot of research we got Graco Snug ride infant seat. Which one have you got?
Mysty2001: You must be getting close to your due date. All the best
Beigal hope things are fine wiith you.
Mysty 2001 also hope you are fine
Nicole
Hope2bpositive, You are exactly one week ahead of me. I am 31 weeks today with twin girls. 1st IVF cycle. How is your energy level? Mine is not so good. Tired everyday and in bed by 8. Not at all what I am used too. Just wanted to say hi since we are so close.
Shannon
MrPatsy: I hope your itching is improving
Biegal13: Less than a month left for you to see little Zachary!!! Although I'm in bed for most of the day, but it seems my walk has changed and also I have gained a lot of weight, mostly in third trimester.
Littlefeet: Good luck with the retrieval. Remember, you just need one egg to form a baby, so don't worry. My prayers are with you. If I remember correctly, I think I had assisted hatching.
hope2bepsoitive, Still itchign a bit but not as bad i'm doing the oatmeal bath, and cocoa butter lotion even though I hate the smell of cocoa butter I have to cope with it.
Nicole
MrPatsy: Sorry to learn that you are stiill itching. Maybe a dermatoloist could provide some solution to your itching.
Biegal13: You must be working f or another week or os and then taking off . How's your preparation going for little Zachary. We're also gathering stuff. Now we have been looking outside Babiesrus for clothes shopping.
SMA827: How are things with you. Hopefully your energy level is becoming better. You must be purchasing everything double, it must be exciting.
Nicole
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
girk is asleep behind me
vaginal birth
both jaundiced
thanks for well wishes!!!
SMA you should be next
Littlefeet: Happy to know that your embryos were of good quality and the transfer went fine. Now is the time to relax, don't stress out.
Hopefully this will be your lucky cycle.
Biegal13: Like you, I am also very uncomfortable during night due to aches, specially backache. I'm 33 week now. I hope I can prolong the pregnancy till at least 37 weeks
In 3 weeks you wil be able to see and hold your little one!!!!
MrPatsy: Hope your itching is better now,
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone
Mysty2001... Yea for you too! Very happy that your little boy and girl are here!
Thanks for the support on all the aches and pains ladies. It helps just to let it out! Dec 16th is coming and I know its worth it. Hang in there Hope2Bpositive.... I know how you are feeling. But when we hold our babies, it will all be worth it.
Mr Pasty... how far along are you now? must be at the end of the 2nd trimester?
Have a WONDERFUL thanksgiving ladies.
Thanks again for always being there for me.
Nicole
little feet - i hope i can check in weds!
Talk to you soon.
Patsy
I have been there and know it is painful
good luck
So cheer up it would work for you
Patsy
Wishing you all the best as well ladies.
Nicole
It seems I might also have to go through a C-section if my baby remains breech
Little Zachary Francis is here! We are so in love with him. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Thank you all for your support through all of this. Hope2Bpostive... you are next!! I wish you all the joy that we had on Tuesday. I know your little girl will be a wonderful Holiday gift.
Mr Pasty... not too much longer for you as well.
Thank you all again! have a wonderful holiday.
Nicole
I am completing my 37 weeks tomorroww, so I have been called in on 26th for rotation of the breech. There is a small posssibility that I might deliver on 26th!!! Let's see.
MrPatsy: Hope you're doing fine.
Its so much fun to finally hold her. Nowadays most of our time is spent with her.
Mrpatsy: Now you're next. Couple of weeks left for you. I hope your itching doesn't bother you too much.
Biegal13: You must be enjoying little Zachary.
beigal13, hope you and baby Zachary is doing fine and everything is going well for you both. I am also preparing a bit for the baby homecoming. like bauying teh necassary things etc and also for going to the hospital for delivery too.
Will keep everyone updated on teh latest developments too.
Mr Patsy... the days will fly by. Excited that the day is coming for you soon too!
Zachary is doing well. Growing like a weed :) I'm a very lucky mommy to have my little boy.
Best to all of you as well.
Nicole
Would update you as the days goes by.
Patsy
Will update you later on.
Patsy
I am 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant and still no labor pains yet. I am getting so anxious and frustrated now. The doctor told me that by 9 March if I do not deliver the baby thenthey would induce me. I am hoping that I go into labor naturally sometime this week or this weekend.
I am so anxious to see teh baby and know that it is finally safe after 40 plus weeks. My due date was 25 February which was yesterday so i am a bit agitated that the baby has not come yet.
Will update you later
patsy
I will keep you posted after my blood test.
Keep your head up. Remain positive.
Have a wonderful day.
I am praying for you to have a positive result.
My daughter is now 2 months old. We're greatly enjoying her. My maternity leave is finishing, I shall join back work tomorrow.
I will update you all later on the new developments.

Will update later on

You must be enjoying your daughter. They grow so quickly. Is she waking you at night. Our daughter is now almost 13 weeks old. I love spending time with her.
I have joined back work and its become very busy. I hate to leave her at home!! But can't help.
I might also go for another IVF to give our daughter a sibling.
Enjoy your time off with your daughter.
Talk to you all soon/

My investigations last week were fine. They think the results are even better than last year. I might go for a transfer of frozen embryos in August.
Nowadays I am also concentrating in loosing the extra weight which I had put on. I still have around 18 more pounds to loose!!!
Anyways how di dyour round of IVF went. I have two embryos left in storage and I intend to use it sometime soon maybe September or even in April or May next year.
I have not seen you online in a hwile and was wondering if things went as you planned.
Anyways keep me updated.

Talk to you soon.
Patsy
Good to know that you are also planning to get the frozen embryos transferred.
Love to your daughter.
Patsy
I have my 18 weeks ultround scheduled this coming tuesday. The quad screening went fine.
Well keep me updated and I will talk to you soon.
