length of time from IB to Positive HCG test

My husband and I are TTC and were active during OPT on 10/7/09. Both of us have experienced pregnancy symptoms and then I had very lite bleeding on 10/22/09-10/24/09. Not enough to require a pad and it was very pink. My normal cycle should start on 10/28/09, however I have taken HPT already and the result is negative.
How long after the implantation bleeding does it take to get a positive pregnancy test?
