light brown spotting at 5 weeks--anyone have and baby OK?

I noticed some very light brown spotting a few days ago, that has now disappeared.  Just when I wipe.  Not pink/red, no cramping, no other sypmtoms.  Had a miscarriage before so concerned this could be a sign.  Pregnancy symptoms still same as before.

My OB/GYN wants me to come in ASAP to evaluate.  Bit worried now that this could mean I'm going to miscarry.  Has anyone had mild spotting and been OK?  Or not?  I feel as long as it hasn't progressed, turned red or been followed by any symptoms, that I still have a chance.

I had bright red bleeding at six weeks.  I ran to the doctor and everything was fine.  They did a vaginal U/S and found a hb.  I am now over 25 weeks pregnant with a little girl.  I am sure everything is fine with your baby.  I know that after a M/C everything is so scary once you get pregnant again.  I was terrified of every little ache and pain.  Good luck to you and the baby!

I had some pink spotting at 7 weeks to 11 weeks and everything was just fine.... My doc said that he wouldnt have been worried at all if it were brown cause that means it was old blood. Good Luck!! Oh I am 16 weeks now!!!

I had brown spotting at 5 weeks too.  And everything was fine.  It even eventually progressed to pink and then red.  I was so freaked out b/c I had m/c a few months earlier.  But, as i'm typing to you now, I am looking at my little girl!  So there is always hope!

I had brown spotting at 6 weeks and a m/c before. I was freaked out and went directly to see my doctor. She told me it is very common to have light brown spotting in early pregnancy, and it could be from implementation bleeding. She ordered an immediate U/S for me anyhow because I was panicking. Everything was fine, I saw my baby's heartbeat for the first time in my life. I am 37 weeks now, As I am typing, I am feeling random contractions. I am sure everything is fine and good luck to you!

i had the brown spotting when i wiped. a good bit of it on toilet paper. i went in for u/s and they said it was just a bleed i had in the uterus at 5 weeks that was coming out and it was old blood not to worry. it did stop later that day. i had what you call a subchronic hematoma. placenta previa kinda. some times your body just absorbs it and sometimes it will come out.mine came out at around 7 weeks and im now 12 weeks.everything so far is fine and im sure you will be too

Thanks to everyone for the reassurance.  I am going to see my OB/GYN tommorrow just to check things out.  Appointment nurse said many women who have light spotting before 12 weeks go on to deliver fine -- although many do miscarry.  But I feel better knowing that all of you are fine.

i spotted brown, red, pink and sometimes clots for 14 weeks all this after having a m/c so I know that fear as well.  My doctor just like yours always took it serious and made me come in.  I am thrilled to say I am now due anyday.  

Your doctor is very good in having you come in.  he will check your cervix and give you piece of mind.

I'm 22 weeks and I spotted from the day I found out till 10 weeks!   I freaked everytime I went to the bathroom and I swear my doctor already had an apt for me when I called every week.  I'm fine.  Try to relax

I spotted bright red at somewhere between 5-6 weeks and then again at around 10 I think.  Everything is great so far.  I only called the dr's the first time and they said as long as I rested and it was soaking a pad and with cramps, I was ok.  It still freaked me out, but I'm not almost 19 weeks and no problems yet.
