Does anyone know if this can be a sign of an impending miscarriage. I am sure if my doc was concerned he would have told me. He does want to be sure I do the quad screening at 16 weeks and told me if the bleeding continues to call him and he may put me on bedrest. Just wondering if anybody had an experience like this and knew what caused the bleeding. It is hard not knowing why...never had this happen with my dd. Had a miscarriage at 5 weeks this summer that started with bleeding like this
I don't know what caused the bleeding, but I've read in several places that miscarriage rates are less than 5% after 12 weeks pregnant, so difficult as it may be, try to relax. You may need bedrest, but it may not be until the end of the pregnancy, just pay attention to your body, listen to your doctor, and pray for your baby.
Hey darl, dont worry too much. I had bleeding at 13w2d, and they also couln't explain where it had come from. My u/s lady actually suggested that some women just have a slight bleed around the time the placenta takes over. I've had 2 u/s so far and baby looks fine with a good heartbeat. I've had spotting at 5w, 6w, 7w, and now 13w. I'm 16w today and everything is fine, so dont worry too much and good luck.
Bleeding is always a sign something could be wrong but I bleed for the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy off and on and everytime my doctor did the same thing your doctor did and said sometimes it just happens with no explaination. I have been ok the past couple months but he did say not to be suprised if it comes back. It is scary to see that when you go to the bathroom isn't it? But I dont think it is a sign something bad IS going to happen I just think it is something that happens. Always call the doc everytime. :) Congrats and good luck.
