little excitement yesterday 32-33 wks/open forum

yesterday morning around 7 i had a dizzy spell - nauseus, lightheaded, buzzing in the ears - i've had these several times during the pregnancy, OB says its normal. only yesterday after this one i woke up under my desk (was sitting working at the time) - apparently i'd passed out for a few minutes. called the advice line, ended up in the ER (they did an EKG, blood tests, etc - all ok) then the labor ward for an NST (baby fine - very active). all they could conclude is that s/he's compressing some major blood vessels. advice: next time this happens, lie down ASAP so you cant fall! i've got a lump on the back of my head so fortunately, i fell backwards.

That is scary!  Glad everything turned out ok.  I get the dizzy buzzing ear spells too, so I will have to remember to lay down when I have one.

yeah, all ok - but definitely take those dizzy spells seriously. apparently if you fall forward you risk placental abruption which may mean early delivery.
