low cervix

Hi,

It is my first pregnanacy and I am really scared. According to my doctor my utres is very low. Right now I am 39 weeks pregnent When my doctor checks me she said said she can feel the head right away, my cervix is that low. She also said she is not sure how my delivery will be. Is it dangrous for the baby or me to have natural delivery or C-section is safer for the both of us? since my utres is so low. what is that even mean?

Hi there! first of all congrats .
Since you ahve a low cervix, you should always lie down with your bed raised. the portion of the coat where you keep your legs can be raised. and try to lie down like this how much ever you can. it is really good for your child and it will also prevent pre-mature delivery. So talk to your doctor, about this. It is not risky for you or your child but a low cervix can lead to pre-mature delivery. So take care.

thank you so much. i think pre mature delivery risk is gone. I am overdue. about 40 weeks now need this baby out of me. getting harder to walk and sit.
