I quit breastfeeding my son at 6 mos. Afterwards my breasts had many tiny lumps all over. After about about two weeks, the tiny lumps disappeared and only a few big lumps remained. They gradually went away, but one of them stayed for a couple months, my doctor told me to put warm compresses on it. He said it's only a concern if you get a fever, extreme pain, or red streaks on your breasts or legs. He said it was a clogged milk duct, and the tiny bumps were inflammation. I also didn't start my first period until a month after quitting.
