What are the kinds of positions, changes and twists  or turns that the foetus undergoes during pregnancy. in what order do they come, at what stage do each occur and why each of the changes?
When the baby comes out head first what is it called and when it comes out leg first what is called?

You can't exactly tell what position your baby is in at SPECIFIC times.  They always move.  I know that around 4 months(?) your baby goes from horizontal to vertical.  Then stays that way (sometimes) until born head down.  BUT Breech is when a baby's feet come first.   But just like they are when they're 2, they're always on the move.  It's hard to tell EXACTLY where your baby is at an EXACT time.  Everyone is different.  Consult your birthing choice about it...

It is next to impossible to tell someone how their baby will be lying at any given time. With my son, he was all over the place!! He was breech (frank breech, meaning butt first) until I was 8 1/2 mos. Then he went to transverse (sideways) then finally into the vertex (sp?) head down position.

When a baby comes out head first, it is called a vertex presentation.

If a baby comes out with a leg presenting, it is called a single footling breech.  2 legs presenting, a double footling breech.
