menstrual cycle

menstrual cycle

Just a quick question to all new mommies.  I had my baby on May 10th.  By July I was having my normal cycle but for some reason this month I seemed to have skipped it.  It is almost impossible for me to be pregnant.  We had a horrible month with the baby being sick and in the hospital this was the last thing on our minds.  If we were active at all we used the same method of birth control that has been used for us during our relationship and although it is not full proof it worked until we decided to get pregnant.  Either way I took two tests and both are negative.  So my question here is can your cycle just skip a month - 6 months after giving birth or is this completely unrelated?  If I am pregnant it of course will be a welcome pregnancy as we are planning to have another next year anyway but I really do not think I am and want to get to the bottom of this cycle stuff.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  I hate to call my doctor again.  I drive him crazy, I swear he must feel like he is on vacation now that my baby is born.

I am over a week late.  It is so weird.  I really dont think I am pregnant to be honest I dont think we had you know what at all last month.  The baby was in the hospital then we were both so stressed out and worried.  I cant imagine that we even did. haha  well if we did and I am looks like this baby wants to be here but I really dont think I am - too funny.

Well, you've been under a lot of stress lately.  And when your baby is sick, it's the worse kind of stress. Maybe that's all it is. Stress. It can do so much to someone's body.
Anyway, that's awesome that your ready to have another.  I dont think I will be ready any time soon and if I do, I would like to wait at least until I'm 31 or so.  I dont know if I can do it again..lol

hey, our babies were born the same day! why didn't I ever notice that before?? But, we're still ppd for 6 months afterwards and our af's can do crazy things. I had my 1st af exactly 1 month after having the baby on june 10th, as I did w/the other 2 dc's, but then it skipped the next 3 months. crazy. But then again when my 2nd DC who's now 2 yo was only 4 months old I found out I was pg again. That one however was a missed m/c, and here I sit holding my gorgeous bouncing baby austin.

How was it getting pregnant so close after delivering a baby?  I am not ready to be pregnant again - my first pregnancy was AWFUL!  But I would welcome another baby any day of the year.  Our home is small but I dont even care about that - we will make it work and eventually move.  It was recommended for me not to have any after 35 due to my history so I was planning on loosing the weight and getting pregnant again next summer - Summer 08 this would make them two years apart but if they are just one year apart that is fine too.  It will be a lot of work, mentally and physically but after those toddler years are over and the diapers are forever gone I will then have time to rest. haha

I would be ready for another baby - I lucked out with Eva she is so good.  Pregnancy on the other hand.  Oh NO. haha  But I will make the best of it.  The only thing that bugs me is that I really dont think I am.  I just had to make an appt for bloodwork to be sure I go tomorrow.  I was scheduled for a stress test tomorrow because of my heart flutters.  I had to cancel because it is a nuclear test and well that and baby do not mix.  My heart problem is due to pregnancy and will never go away so even if I waiting I will still have to deal with that.  So lets just say, if I am I will be happy but if I am not I will not be sad. Hey, at least I wont have to pack away all that baby stuff.

well, that pg was a missed m/c which I got a d&c done march '06. I then found out I was pg again that august, exactly 1 day before my 2nd dc turned 1 yo. My 1st dc and 2nd dc are 24 months apart...both born in august. My 2nd dc and 3rd dc are 20 months apart...but I'm done having babies. Man made sure of that. I couldn't take anymore m/c's or pg's w/ problems(placental abruption, preterm labor, etc). it's not that bad having babies so  close together. you get all the baby gear and diapers ouit of the way. oh, if you are planning on having more, check into investing in cloth diapers. saves you a ton of money and aren't that bad to use. I switched when my 2nd dc was 16 months
