methotrexate

I was told by my doctor that my pregnancy had to be terminated because it was low in my uterus. He said it was in my cervix. He's been giving me methotrexate. I've had three shots. The first two have not made my levels drop, they actually rised. I have to go back tomorrow to check my levels for the third shot and take a fourth shot. Im really nervous  because i dont want to have to go through any surgery. Has anybody gone through this before? I havent blead yet and only mild cramps. I kinda did spot just a little after the second shot but now its gone.

Good luck on the blood test.  Methotrexate can be effective, but it is not guaranteed.  I had methotrexate and then had to have a D&C.   The D&C was such a simple procedure that I was kind of sorry I had wasted the time with the methotrexate (though if it had worked, it would have been the simplest thing to do, so it was not a bad idea or anything.)  All I'm saying is that the D&C turned out to be not a biggie.  Good luck if that is the way you need to go.

I took it for an ectopic pregnancy and it didn't work for me either.. I got two shots at once.. my numbers initially went up and then started coming down but not enough so a week after the first shots, I got two more.. a week after that my tube ruptured and it had to be removed.
