miscarriage at 4 weeks

Last night I had some bright red bleeding and passed a medium sized blood clot. The bleeding has now stopped and there is no pain.  Was that the sign of a miscarriage?

Hi can b. It is possible that this might be a miscarriage, but you should really go to your docor and get checked out. You could just be having bleeding but this could be a sign of complications, but there may be something they can doto prevent you from losing the baby.
If you have had a miscarriage you need to be monitored to make sure everything has been flushed from you system.
I hope everything works out for you. I will keep my fingers crossed. Good luck.

Or it could simply be that your period happened, did you get a positive test?  When was your period due?
