miscarry, then d&c?

so at 7.5 weeks, the ultasound said the fetus is gone, i guess that means dead? thats so sad. im crushed. now its still in me and the doc said i have to scedual a surgical procedure with anesthesia and everything. a dilitation and curretage. is there anything i can do to make it come out on its own? when will i stop feeling like crying?im already 39 years old and feel like i have to hurry but the doc said after the D&C i need to wait 3 whole months before trying again!

ok sweetie let me tell you what i expericend. i myself on june 4th was thought to be 12 weeks preggo well she couldnt find heartbeat so they did a u/s and the baby measured at 6.5 weeks taht it had stopped developing but i never had no bleeding no cramping no nothing i carried that baby for 6 weeks without even knowing anything. well i had a d&c on june 5th 08 . went home spotted for a few days and taht was it. they say to wait but you dont have to . well since the d&c i never had the af return and we are now almost 11 weeks preggo n this one is fine so far. so there is hope . and we didnt wait at all not even one cycle. we got pregnant within 3 weeks after the d&c . they say u are very fertile after a d&c. and my dr told me the nly reason they tel you to wait is to that they can have dates to go by. your body will only get pregnant when it is ready. dont lose hope and if you feel you are ready go for it . and think positive cause it can happen it did for us.i wish you all the luck and *BABYDUST* to you....
