missed abortion and suspecious of Endrometriosis - are contraceptive pills safe to take for a short period???

I did hpt 3 days after missed period and was positive and I had severe pain so when to the doc had US and showed 1.8mm sac. I was very happy as was planning for more than a yr, had my second US at 6 wks 4 days and they found yolk sac and fetal pole with sac measuring 1.58cm and gestational age showed 5wk 4 days but no heartbeat was found and the doc scared me of missed abortion, advised for blood works to be done HCG count showed 25950 which was very good and 48 hrs later was 35267 it didnt double but doc was optimistic and advised US after 10 days , had my US on 2nd july when i was 8 wks 1 day and still no heartbeat seen and fetus didnt grow , sac age showed 6wks 4 days and was confirmed of missed abortion. was admitted in hosp and terminated pregnancy with vaginal tablets which was so painful and was told next day after scan there is left over tissues and will expel in a day or two and to come for a scan to confirm all clear in a week but was facing acute pain and was admitted on sat again and went thru D&C. i WAS TOTALLY SHATTERED AS LOST MY BABY AND TOP OF THAT HAD TO GO THRU ALL THE pain. The doc could have done D&C the first time instead of doing it thru tablets. also doc said she suspects Endrometrisis and has advised me to take contraceptive pills for 3 weeks and has advised me to plan after 3 months I dont know how safe it is to take contraceptive pills, can anyone advise if it helps to cure Endrometrises. I'm sorry to discuss all this I dont mean to upset anyone but just dont want anyone to go thru this and want to advise always opt for D&C if missed abortion as tablets are very painfull and cant be sure if we expel all the tissues. Please advise what should I do next as scared and dont want to go thru this again...

I am sorry that you had to go through this. I am not sure, but I dont think your doctor suggested the contraceptive pills to cure endometriosis. He probably suggested them to you as a way of conteraception since he wanted you to wait for 3 months before planing again. I would consult another doctor before panicking, but I would plan to wait for couple of months before getting pregnant. In the mean time you will have time to consult a good doctor in your town about endometriosis to see if the diagnosis is correct.
Did you have any sign that suggested endometriosis? I mean, how did he reach the conclusion that you have endometriosis?

Hi, My doc has suggested me Contraceptive pills only for 21 days, i dont think it is b'coz she doesnt want me to plan as I checked on site and one of the cure for Endremitriosis is contraceptive pills however there are side effects of contraceptive pills thats why I'm worried. Also in the US they saw free fluid behind the uteres and I have severe pain during my periods and also when i went thru the abortion I had severe pain which is unusual. Doc is confident that I bleed from fallopian tubes and other linings also whne i hve my periods which is Endremetriosis. The only way to confirm 100% is thru Lproscopy and my doc didnt want to do that as I had done laproscopy for my appendecitis a year back and still have Adhesions and went thru lot of pain and she doesnt want to figit with me system any more. I dont know what to do? I will plan again after November but dont want to go thru all this again and want to make sure I'm perfectly alright before I plan. Please advise.

Sorry, Ijust saw your message. I dont know much about endometriosis. The  only thing ZI could add is to follow what your doc. says, and definitely resolve the issue before trying to get pregnant again. I know it is hard, I myself am waiting because of anemia, but it is best to make sure everything is ok. Just stay positive. I hope everything comes your way.

thanks for your advise...I'm anemic also when i conceived last time my blood count was 7.6 on the ovulation date and was 9.6 when i got to know I'm pregnant. when miscarried I was 9.9 now I'm 9.6 as was bleeding a lot...even I'm trying to increse my count before I conceive...Take care and eat lots of greens and yes eat atleast 4-5 figs a day, 6-7 almonds and 10-12 black raisens it helps to increase blood count by doing this in 2 weeks my count incresed from 7.6 to 9.9...it really helps and yes atleast one apple a day and 2 litres of water...it really helps...
