missed period 25 days late and on the birth control pill?

I'm 25days late on my period and on the birth control pill.I have done a 5 pregnacy test and it has came up negetive.Does the birth control pill effect the test? I don't have any symptoms, I have never missed a period before and have been on the birth control pill for years.

I have 2 little boys that were both conceived on the pill, and my little brother was a pill baby too.  The Dr. thinks it runs in the family for me, so I have to be careful, I know it's always a possibility, which is okay.  Anyway, if you are coming up negative doesn't sound like you are pregnant, could be a messed up cycle, that can happen.  My first baby I tested positive and I was 5 days late and still taking the pill because I had no idea, took a test just because my sil suggested it.  I would call your Dr. and tell them what's going on, see what they have to say, could be stress, could be a change in something your doing, or just a missed cycle, or anything else.  If you were pregnant the levels should be high enough, if they aren't registering, it's not a good sign.  Anyway, good luck.
