My period should be due a few days ago i think but they don't seem to be coming. I've had symptoms like i usually get for my periods. Light cramping and being very warm, however i usually get really bad back pain with my periods which i haven't got this time. My breasts are also quite tender, mostly my nipples and they feel a bit fuller than usual.
Do you think i'm worrying over nothing or is there a chance i could be pregnant?
I'm not really sure how effectiveEffective strength cough syrup the morning after pill is, and I suppose a main thing is that you would have had to take it exactly as prescribed. I would go to google.com and look up some stuff on the percentage that you could be. If there is any chance, wait a few days and take a test. I'm also not sure as to how that pill affects your cycle...all things a dr can answer. Maybe someone else can give you more advice. Chances are you're not, but you never know. Good luck!
I didn't necesarily want to take the pill but i'm 19 and i'm at uni and i just can't risk getting pregnant. If i'm pregnant now i'll deal with it and of course i'll keep it, but the morning after pill seemed like the only option.
Hi. I don't know how much help I can be, but I had a friend who took the morning after pill in college (very different circumstances: she was raped and the hospital just about forced her to take it). ANyway, she was also my roommate at the time so I saw her go throguh all of the after effects too. I know she had major hot flashes and nausea and lots of other side affects for a few weeks. I guess there's always a chance that you could be pregnant too, but just remember that the morning after pill is a massive amount of hormones to counteract a pregnancy if one has very recently been established or help it to not implant etc. With all those extra hormones, you could very well be having similar symptoms as early pregnancy, even if you are not pregnant. Although the chances are slim that you are pregnant, there's always a possibility so you could take a test to see. Also, don't ever be afraid to call a doctor and ask them questions about the side effects you are experiencing, the morning after pill can be a powerful drug and effects everyone's body differently. I wish you the best and good luck in school.
I am not one to judge as when I was 19 I had unprotected sex and took morning after pill within the 12hours but I think I had to take 2 (12hours apart)....I will say tho that having that pill did stuff up my cycle as it is changing your system into what it should be doing! I think I went like 3 weeks ( very stressful time as I didnt want parents to know) but all turned out fine, taught me a huge lesson I never did that again...haha And now would you believe I m almost 26 & have been ttc desperately for the past 2.5yrs for baby #1!!!! weird how the world works.
Let us know how you get on. Have HPT and if (-) either try again in another couple of days or get bloodwork down from dr if that is an option for you.
Thanks for your advice anyway :)
