You do only need to keep your "legs up" for twenty minutes, but this really doesn't really make a difference either. I still did it because, why not? But from what I've read the sperm are either going to get where they are going or they aren't. Also if your cervix (I think I'm remembering right) is a certain way keeping your legs up could make the sperm have trouble finding their way to the proper destination.
But whatever is coming out when you get up or go to the bathroom is normal and is supposed to happen.
It only takes one sperm to fertilise an egg and as far as I'm aware they make a break for it as soon as they are ejaculated. Anything that comes out wasn't in there enough to even compete and I think it's just seminal fluid, not necessarily sperm. I conceived with all five pregnancies (but first was a m/c) without doing any of the old wives' tale methods to aid conception. In fact I usually go to the toilet straight after sex and 'clean myself up' with tissues or toilet paper and it didn't stop me from conceiving. But I think if you feel you might need the extra help then it certainly can't hurt. I just wanted to tell you that legs in the air and morning sex are not a sure-thing as far as conceiving goes. But, go for it and good luck with the conceiving...remember to have fun along the way!!!
