I JUST NOTICE TODAY THAT MY 2 MNTH OLD BABY IS DROOLING SO MUCH. HE LOOKS LIKE HES MAKING LITTLELittle noses decongestant Little tummys BUBBLES WITH HIS SALIVA. I NOTICE IT YESTERDAY N I DIDNT THINK MUCH OF IT BUT TODAY HE STARTED ACTING FUSSY. AM NOT SURE IF ITS BECUS HE JUST WANTS TO BE IN THE ARMS OR HES IN PAIN. I GAVE HIM SUM PIN MEDICINE N MADE A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT FOR TOMORROW EITHER WAY, BUT I SURE COULD USE SOME INFORMATION RITE NOW. VERY WORRIED MOM.
It's due to the overproduction of saliva. They produce more saliva than they can swallow. It's completely normal and doesn't have any correlation on teething. Babies usually become fussers at like 6 weeks of age until 3 months. Most of them fuss more in the evenings. They don't know why but it can be linked to perhaps overstimulation from the day, or gas from feeding, but it's completely normal. You will see, once 3 months hits, it's like a switch goes off and they don't fuss as much. Good luck.
both of mine started drooling out of the blue at 2 months. Some claim it's teething, but my first didn't get teeth until 9 months. keep your appointment so that you can get some reassurance and peace of mind, but don't stress. Sounds completely normal :)
