I'm nto sure how much 12 kilos is in pounds but I'm sure things will turn out fine. You just need to follow the advice of the professionals.
I was a very large baby after beign a few months old, my mother attributed it to my formula. Once I was out of the toddler stage and onto normalNormal saline flush food, I slimmed up and have been of normalNormal saline flush weight my whole life.
My neice has hte same situation... she is a big girl at a year and 5 months old but we are pretty confident that she will slim down. She's already beginning to! Chubby babies are very cute as long as the doctor isn't concerned!
Is your baby breastfed or formula fed? If it is the latter i would suggest speaking to your doctors about a different formula.
I'm not a doctor and I don't know a lot on the situation, this is just my experience.
ok what is 12 kilos into pounds ?? lol.. what changed after 3 months? have they done any type of genetic screening ?? there are some genetic things that can occur.. when symptoms like they are the way you described.. what else is going on ? even the smallest of symptoms may be the key.. can u think of anything else ?
yes the weight would be off the charts, but I would not call it obeses just yet. There are a lot of other things to take into consideration. First of all, how tall is your baby, if the height is off the charts, I would definately say there was no problem. Once the little one is up and walking a lot of the problem will go away as well....you will see the weighting equally distributing and slowing down. I would not be too concerened myself. Best of luck to you.
My 10 month old DD is 24 pounds 6 ounces and 29 inches tall. I have never been told that she weighs too much. I'm confused as to why your dr is making an issue out of that weight.
Heck, my baby was 23lbs at 8 months. She is now 10 months and 25lbs. BUT she is as long as a 2-year-0ld. Seriously, if your baby is also tall, don't worry about it. No one believes my daughter fits in 2T but she does. She is a big eater, eats mostly veggies, and just hasn't started walking yet. I would not worry...your child will slim down very soon.
My baby is 6 months old and is right in the middle of the weight charts, not at the top, and he probably weighs around 18 1/2 or 19 lbs. now. The weight mentioned by the original poster doesn't sound excessive to me.
