my son never ever eats!

As ya'all know my son who is now 11 months, he never wants to eat. hes been like this from day one. but he was eating so well. a 3rd food in the morning 2 2nd stages at lunch and the same at dinner and table food etc juices. now when he gets up im lucky if he eats fruit or eggs. he will just have a bottle at night then eat lil snacks here and there and will only eat if he is holding something like a spoon. ughhhhhhh today he had a few spoons of fruit then a 5 oz bottle for nap. then he ate a few pasta pick ups andnothing else. he is drink four 5 oz bottle when he goes to bed at 930 until 8am and he gets up at 930-10 am. he has four teeth coming in on top but it doesnt seem to bother him igive him tyenol. but hes soo fussy, ive been giving him enfamil vitamins poly li sol. because im so worried for him. he weights about 20 lbs

maybe he just does not like baby food.. i dont mean to be rude or anything but you seem so very concerned about his health and eating and not drinking enough etc.. i think this is really something you should talk over with your pediatrician because he might have something wrong if he wont eat or drink his milk...

cameron is almost 13 months now and weighs 21lbs.. he is all over the place and poops about 4 times a DAY.. talk abotu metabolism lol.. i wish but anyways he eats like a mad man.. people wouldnt think he eats so much for such a small lil guy

his pedi says he's fine because his weight is normal. he drinks over 24 oz a day mostly at night :( sux for me. i dont think he likes baby food so much ethier but i give him chicken and sort of foods and he eats a little then pushes my hand away

Have you try and let him feed himself? Maybe he would eat more? Ethan was only 23lbs at 1year......

My son weighed about 18 pounds at his 1 year check up and he eats pretty well, but he's constantly moving. Is your son getting alot of milk my sons pedi says they should only have 3 8 oz bottles a day otherwise they won't eat actual food.

i'm with mamaofonetrying42 is he feeding himself? my son eats more when he feeds himself, or if he eats what we are eating.

Have you tried gerber graduates diced apples, pears, carrots and peaches. Yogurt? anything like that?

My son eats heaps, but he like to walk around and eat, he also has things like sandwiches cut into small pieces and he takes one off his plate, goes off and eats it then comes back for more, i'd try letting him have things that he can feed himself with.

We went through this with Ashtyn and it was a long hard battle, but Ashtyn wouldn't eat ANYTHING. He would only take a bottle, so at least you have that going for you. Anyways, we had to let him out grow it. Whatever you do, keep offering it to him. Make a little up at a time, so if he doesn't want it, you have not wasted a whole jar. You can always make more. Good luck, I totally have felt your pain....btw, Ashtyn is almost 16 months and weighs 24 pounds, so I think he is fine.

i agree try letting him eat on his own.. omg YES i know it's work for you all on its own..Cameron eats on his own..you should see him with mashed poatatoes omg...he eats it but with his hands.. uses his spoon but then sc-rew the  spoon easier to eat from your fingers lol...

As other have said, let him try things on his own.  When AJ got like that he just wanted to do it by himself.  You can try thicker things and give him a lot in a bowl with a spoon and some will make it to his mouth.  Apple sauce, cottege cheese, mac and cheese.  How long till you find out gender?  (I know I ask a lot, sorry)

im going to start letting him eat by himself he only drinks a bottle at nap and no joke about four or five 5 oz bottles at night from about 930 all the ways until 830 am. ughh like today he had 3 spoons of vanilla pudding a spoon of prunes and apples and he doesnt want no eggs nothing hes bad lol he did have a 4 oz bottle at 7 am but he woke up at 1030 so that was during he was asleep. im going to start giving him more graduate foods yesterday he liked the pasta pickups so i have to start giving him more i dont think he likes to eat baby food so much. hes making me crazy i just feel so bad for him at times. and he likes to stand and eat a grilled chesse. kids they have so many issues lol.
i find out the sex on monday! im hoping for a girl. and this time around im not giving her baby food until 6 7 months. only milk i learned my lesson

Ha - you know little ryan is 15months and doesn't eat ****.  He is very picky about what he eats and I have such a hard time as well.  i keep telling myself that his stomack is small so he doesn't need as much as I think - dr said he is fine because he is gaining weight - he is almost 28pounds  33in long

PS i took ryan off formula at 11 months - i really didn't wean because he loves milk

carmine is 31 inches long i think hes talls and skinny lol but for somereason his legs are soo chunky. my mom says hes fat hes okay! lol but i still start to shake when he wont eat!!
