nail polish

Hi can you tell me if putting nail polish on my 3 yr old daughter is going to ruin her nails. It is very rearly on there and is of within a day of putting it on. My mother in law is telling me that it will take the enamel of the nails is this true?

My sister works for Mayo Clinic OB dept....one of the physicians she works with said "Lorel Jet Set is safe for babies and children because it contains no formeldahide (sp))

i posted a question similar to this a while back, but my dd is only 18 months old, she always watches me paint mine and wants me to paint hers (toes), someone said to buy the nail polish for kids, and it works great, it doesnt have a smell and they have it in all sorts of pretty colors!
