need a good hooter holder

hey ladies. i'm going back to work and need bra advice. they're very pricey and i don't want to waste my money on a piece of cr@p. i need something to support my gigantic knockers, but there are many things to consider.
1- i need a lot of support since my job is active- includes dancing, chasing kids, etc...
2- i am pumping, so i need easy access to the jugs.
3- i am only pumping 3 times a day, which makes the ta-tas very very very heavy. (i pump 6-8 ounces out of each boob at each session)
4- i hear underwire can cause clogged ducts in the gazongas (anyone have experience with that?)
5- i need something that won't look ridiculously too big when i leave the house a size B/C (when the milkers are empty) or when it's getting toward pumping time as a size DD

can anyone suggest a good bra that meets my criteria? does such a thing exist??? and can not having the right bra do permanent damage to my melons???

Tired- I don't have any answers right now. Just wanted to thank you for the laugh. Not making fun of you, of course. Just the colorful language!

Wow, I wish I knew what the heck the brand names were on mine, after three kids they are barely holding together by 2 threads! But the underwire thing is true for me. Anytime I pull out my one and only underwire one (simply due to my laziness in laundry land) I end up plugging a duct!

I use sports bras, cami tanks with built in bras (when I am home, no way in public, lol) or my trusty nursing bras. I got a swell deal on eBay years ago for my nursing bras.

I would try motherhood. You can go the website and see what you want. They have some really nice bras that may meet your criteria. It may be a little pricy for some, but you will get what you pay for! I am very picky about bras and I'm sure once I have the baby, I am going to want something with support and versatility. That's all I can offer. =)

I wear underwire at work-9 hours a day, M-F but at home I wear a sports bra. No problems here with plugged ducts. **knock on wood** but I did get that same advice from my OB doc. She said not to wear undwerwire. Like I said, I have been lucky so far. Hopefully I don't have problems now.

If you think of it in terms of how much use i have gotten out of mine, even $40 a piece is a good deal I have literally used them for over 3 years.

I would suggest finding a store that specializes in nursing bras.  They will know what will the most supportive and also they should measure you, to get you into the correct size. Hope this helps a little :o)

That was pretty funny---  I have no suggestions...  I remain a size B even through pregnancy and nursing... it is really depressing!!!  I go back to an A when I lose all the baby weight-  so I have never struggled with these things, but it was a funny post!  Thanks!

by newbie2b, Nov 14, 2007 01:56PM
Haha...your funny! Sorry I cant offer any help :( I wish I had your problem. My boobs went right back the their original B size one the baby came. They're just saggier :(  Good Luck!

You don't want bigger boobs. Trust me. Mine are D's when I'm nursing. They look HUGE on my frame and I hate it. I hate to think what they will look like after I'm done nursing. What a yucky thought.

No advice just want to say i love how you worded the topic

by ExpectingaRedhead, Nov 14, 2007 02:10PM
I would also suggest a specialty store. I know here in Austin they have special stores that sell mostly bras (not Victoria's Secret!!!) that are great quality and offer great support. You just have to look in the phone book or on the internet.

Jen, I'm the same way! I'm a big C when nursing and it looks absurd. And my wardrobe is so limited, because I have a long torso anyways (I'm 5'7 and 125,,,,and it's still have to wear "short" length pants!), so having big boobs just makes my shirts even shorter and I look like a total hoochie mama with my belly sticking out!!! Never thought I'd want my 32B's back so bad! lol

Tired...I'd had lots of success with the Gilligan and O'Malley brand from target. Granted, I've only been nursing for 3 months now, but they seem to be holding up quite well and they provide easy access. Plus, they're about $12 each and come in a variety of colors!! I'd give them a whirl! Like Andi said, I wear alot of the cami tanks with the built in bra (usually only under other shirts) and they are wonderful for nursing!

As for the underwires...I hate my one and only underwire nursing bra! It's totally uncomfy!!!!

ditto to jenshim and rubyolivia. i'm 5"1', so my chest looks ridiculous. NOTHING fits me. all of my old shirts are now belly shirts cause my boobs fill them out too much and pull them up. who wants to see that? plus, it's drafty in the winter. dh loves it though. of course, he's afraid to touch them! they're only for show for him :)

So cute!  I looked like a porn star after Cam.  I'm ususally a C, but jumped to D during pregnancy and even those could not contain my huge boobs after baby.  I was scared to nurse for fear of suffocating Cam, my DH thought it was pretty funny.  People kept commenting how thin I was after baby, but I think it's 'cuz my boobs were so huge they overshadowed everything!  Anyway, I got a nice nursing/maternity bra at Target, Liz Lange.  Not hideous, very cute, even though it's big, and it has hooks at the top of the cup to lower for easy access.  Good luck!

you guys are depressing me...  :(  just my belly and my butt get big during pregnancy!

LOL...you're hilarious.  So today we learned that we can call them hooters, knockers, milkers, jugs, ta-tas, gazongas and can't forget melons.  Thank you for such a beautiful lesson in the english language :)))

Somehow I don't doubt their abilities :)

Mine are huge too.  Prepregnancy I was a 34 d, and now that I am nursing they are like  a 38E, I cant find a bra to fit.  I also have some from target, but the sports bra types, and they are nice and easy, but I would like to find nursing bra with cups.   If you find a great bra, pass it on please!!
