need prayers

I need your help ladies....one of the guys I work with is expecting his 2nd child in October.  We were told this morning in the office that his wife's water broke a few days ago - she is only 30 weeks.  They have started steriods to try to get the baby's lungs to develop and are hoping to keep mom from going into labor just yet.  Needless to say, she will be in the hospital until she delivers and they figure the baby will be in NICU after being born for at least several weeks.  I would appreciate all the good thoughts for them....I thought I had the office covered in the pregnancy issues department (4 mc in last 1.5 years....still hoping next one will stick) and hate to see this happening to my co-workers family.  It's killing me today, but they need all the positive thoughts they can get right now!

Oh wow, they are definitley in my thoughts and prayers.  I couldn't imagine going into labor right now, I am due October 5th, so I am in my 31st week.  I can only imagine how scared they are.  But the good news is, at least at 30 weeks the baby has a very good chance of survival. My doctor said usually babies born after the 26th week can survive.

my husband was born at 29 weeks - 34years ago! - so I know it is a good thing she has gone past 30 weeks....I just want her to be able to cook that little girl a little longer!  It just upsets me so much, I guess I've been emotional lately anyway with wanting to start ttc again and not having the go ahead from the RE yet.  I heard from a woman in my support group (locally) that she is finally pg after her 4th IVF attempt!!  That is awesome, but it just makes my emotions go batty even more and then to hear this.....just isn't a good day for me.

I am due in October as well, so I completley understand the importance of keeping not only the baby safe, but mommy too! I will definatley keep there family in my prayers!

I had my son at 31 weeks! He is now a very healthy 7 week old! I went into labor twice, once at 27 weeks and once at 28 weeks. I got the steroids as well, and he was in the NICU for 6 1/2 weeks. It can be scary because they can have lots of peoblems but things can also turn out great:) Keeping them in my thoughts:)
