I am 5 weeks 2 days and have had alot of painful gas. Sometimes it has scared me, thinking it was a cramp--but then I pass it and the pain goes away so I know it's gas bubbles.

I don't know for sure, but it seems simethicone should be okay---because it's perfectly safe for newborns with gas.
I'd still ask my Dr. though.

Pepto Bismol is not recommended for pregnat ladies!Tums Extra-with gas-works way good for me and that is what Dr. recommended when I was preg. She said NO Pepto.

I think you can use simethicone, which is the main ingredient in gas-x.  Check with your Dr. or nurse, but I'm pretty sure that's okay.  Hopefully the bloating will go away soon for you.

i get the same thing (I think, and hope) its lower abdominal pain, but always in the evening after i've eaten.  Its pretty scary because it feels like the cramps i've had when i miscarried but my pregnancy is still going strong so far. (fingers crossed)  i'm so paranoid i cant tell the difference anymore.  it does subside after i pass gas.  I guess if it were "bad" cramps i'd get them more often thoughout the day.

Maybe Tums or did you ask your dr. I don't know maybe Pepto Bismol or Mylanta. Maybe some peppermint tea w/0 caffeine.
Hope this helps! Feel better!

Ginger tea is wonderful, but ginger is usually great for feeling nauseus.  Chammomile tea is what I use for digestive distress.  Aloe juice is good as well, but you may want to ask your doctor or a nutritionist about that first.  I've only used it while I wasn't pregnant.  Are you eating a lot of gassy foods?  I'm not being a smart a**.  You may not realize that some of the foods you are eating may be causing you to have gas that you never had a problem with when you weren't pregnant.
