nightmare dinner times

my littlun isabella is 11 months and being a nightmare at dinner time
when she went onto solids no matter what she ate she had to be in her high chair she has been on solids since 4 months old but just recently we give her lunch (maybe sandwhich banana yoghurt) and everything gets thrown on the floor the same with dinner times i am really worried as i dont feel she is eating enough she doesnt have baby milk no more but does have warm cows milk b4 she goes to bed we have tried different methods of trying to get her to eat her dinner like telling her no LOTS and being firm we have even taken her dinner away from her from a minute then given it back is she just being fussy or is there a real need for concern?
im babbling now
thanks for any help x

This is quite normal. A lot of babies throw their food at that age, my son included. I was also worried about him not eating enough, but him ped told me he was just fine. One thing to remember is that babies won't let themselves starve. My son is now in the 100th percentile in weight and height.  It sounds like me she is just being fussy and found a new game, though you may not like the game at all. :) If you are really worried, talk to your ped about vitamins or supplements you can give her until she starts eating right again, but I am sure she is just fine.

i would put her back on some formula until she starts eating well. As it is, babies are supposed to be on formula until 12 months (maybe the recommendation is different in the UK?) Even when they go on to cow's milk, they are supposed to get 16-24 ounces a day. So either way, your baby is definitely not getting enough nutrition from formula/milk if she is only getting 1 cup before bed.
At this age they need formula not only for general nutrition but to support brain development. They simply can't eat enough food to get the fats they need to support their very rapidly growing brain, even though some babies do take in enough solids to maintain body growth and weight. I suggest you look up recommendations for infant formula/milk intake to help you.
As for food being thrown- victoria is right- it's completely normal. your baby is so young, you really can't expect otherwise.
