It would be helpful if you could clarify a bit more. By 12 weeks, you should SEE your baby and a heartbeat via abdominal and transvaginal u/s; however, you may not be able to HEAR the h/b via fetal doppler until 14 weeks.

Did they see a heart beat on the U/S, I am very sorry to say but if they did not see a HB at 12 weeks on the u/s then unfortunatly that mean the baby has stopped developing. However if you are saying that they were unable to hear the HB with a doppler then it is possible you placenta could be in front making it a little more difficult to hear. Good Luck!

Not usually a good sign. You can see a heartbeat on a transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound at 12 wks. You can also hear it if you use the doppler. I'm so sorry!!! I was there last summer at 10wks preg. Good luck and God Bless.
