normal return of menses

by lala1475, Aug 29, 2007 09:49PM
I am a little concerned.  I delivered June 29th and have still not had my period.  My husband and I have had intercourse a few times with protection, the most recent being two weeks ago.  I took a home pregnancy test this week and it turned up negative, do you think it was accurate?  I am not having any signs of pregnancy except frequent urination.  I have had lower back pain the last few days and some cramping but no period.  I mostly want to know if the test I took is probably accurate and then I will stop worrying so much and not feel the need to see a doctor and just wait for my period to come naturally.  Also, if I didn't stop post partum bleeding until three weeks ago, would this play a role in the delay of my period??? Thanks for your help

I delievered my baby may 10th and haven't had a period since June 10th. Being postpartum screws up your cycles for a few months afterwards.

My postpartum bleeding/spotting ended 1 week before my last period, which was also exactly 1 month from delievering
