not doubling HCG

my last period was on 3.7.08, on 28-th day of my period i did hcg, it was 119, than 2 days later 285, than 512 and 2 days later 991. its not doubling, what it could be? i did an u/s on the 35th days of period, it showed a little white spot and doctor doesn't sure if it's sac or not
i'm so dissapointed with this situation and don't know what to expect.
Are there anybody who have simular problem?

i think your pregnant? did you do a vagina ultrasound? those can see a whole lot more

Levels need to double within 72 hours not 48 which it seems like yours are doing! Also, you aren't that far along yet so it would be almost impossible to see something in the ultrasounds. I would wait 2 weeks and get a repeat ultrasound since by then they should be able to give you more info.

well same here,,last period feb 26th, only a sac on april 7th..hcg levels today are 1500,,dr said they should be 15000,,,,i dont know what they were two weeks ago..I am going for  a repeat ultrasound on monday  the 14th of april,,dr is not hopeful,,,cause my counts did not double,,any ideas anyone,,

doctors are never hopeful if numbers dont double in 48 hours, however it doesnt mean anything until you have an ultrasound after 7-8 weeks.  My numbers only went up 20% in two days, was told I was having a miscarriage, was told to have a u/s to make sure I was miscarrying and we found a heartbeat.  I now have a healthy 7 month old baby boy. Doctors never seem hopeful until after 10 weeks or so even if you have no abnormal symptoms.  Good Luck and dont put too much into the numbers just yet.
