Is the doctor worried?

by heatherlynn22, Apr 07, 2009 07:29PM
my boys did the same thing. they flip flopped from baby a being bigger to baby b being bigger. one measured 1 week ahead then the next week the other was a week ahead. it was like that up until the begining of my third trimester. eli james (my baby b) ended up being 10 oz heavier then his older brother brett michael (baby a).

For me baby a(the boy) was always bigger than his sister. It varied with every scan but she always caught up. At one stage they measured 10 days different and 3 weeks later by my next visit it was back down to 2 days. They were born at 36 weeks and he was a healthy 6lbs 1/2 ounce and she was 5lbs 13ounces. My two still have growth spurts at different times. Him first and then she catches up. So try not to worry unless the doctor is worried and good luck.

totally normal now as long at they don't show like 2-3 weeks behind I wouldn't worry my daughter was always a little behind my son and sure enough when they were born he was bigger..born at 36 weeks..he was 6 lb 12 oz and she was 5 lb 14 oz....and he was 19" and she was 18"  so don't worry it's totally normal
