Merry Christmas everyone...  This day cannot drag by any slower. I swear it knows that I have errands to run and is making the time go by slower intentionally.
Going to the cabin sounds very nice and relaxing. Have fun.
I am heading to my Mom's tomorrow to help her get ready for all of the extended family for the X-mas Bash.
She wants me to make the Brandy Slushes and of course being in the 2ww I cannot even sample my handiwork. Bummer!!!

you open on christmas eve-- we do tooo-normally. it was the tradition in my family to open on christmas eve and then christmas morn we would get the special "santa" gift.i loved it cause we got to open earlier and i would play with my stuff into the wee morning hours then in the morning id head over to my nieghbors(best friend) house to see what she got, then we'd play all day...... then as an adult it worked well because christmas eve we would go to parents house and christmas morning to hubbys moms... but this yr my parents are in florida-one brother in san diego- the other brother is here(bay area california)but he doesnt know what hes doing yet(we already had our christmas with him becuase my mom was in town last week). and as for hubbys mom- were not doing it with her till monday night cause the kids are with their mom till monday.... so we thought since were not doing anything anyways lets go away...

we have always opened gifts on Christmas Eve...it is European Tradition.  My gradparents are Dutch so we always did this with them.  My mom's sister doesn't live in town so it was just my immediate family and grandparents who always lived with us in our house.  I loved it, my siblings and I would go downstairs and help my grandma bring up all of her gifts and we'd put them under the tree and then we'd go into my parents room and do the saem.  Then our parents would make us wait another half hour until we'd start opening.  We have always had an appetizer dinner on the Eve...turkey on the Day.  With almost all of us married in my family (2 brothers, 1 sister) it is so hard to work out all the inlaws so we have just changed Christmas day to an appetizer dinner so that we can come when we can get there and then do our gift exchange. This is DH and I's first Christmas Married so it shoudld be wierd sleeping in the same bed at the inlaws!!  Ha!

If you want to see pics of my family go to my website

I wrote about another family tradition that we do......
Cheers.

I know!  It seems like everyone around me is getting pregnant in one shot, accidentally even, and my husband and I are 3 months ttc after my m/c in July.

I went to the doctor yesterday and it went great!  My LMP was showing that I was 8 weeks 5 days and the doctor told me it was showing that I am 8 weeks 6 days so not but one day off.  I saw the baby move and it was so exciting.  It really sunk in with my DH after he saw the baby.  We are so excited.  Hope everything goes well from here.  Merry Christmas to everyone!

by Wanting, Dec 22, 2005 12:00AM
Yes, Merry Christmas to all of you!  Only 2 days until the eve!  My immediate family celebrates and opens gifts at my parents on Christmas Eve and then my DH and I are staying over night at my inlaws.  Then we are over there all day and for dinner nad then back with my dad's side of the family shortly for the evening.
It is a crazy 2 days, but it is so funa nd I wouldn't change it for the world!

BTW - I took another HPT this morning and it was negative again.  I am bummed but my hubby is so supportive. This morning he was like "well, the way I see it is every month that we aren't pregnant is one month closer to the month that we do get pregnant." I can't argue with that, it is about as true as you can get.  So I guess we'll hope for a BFP in the New Year.

by Harleygrl, Dec 22, 2005 12:00AM
To: Wanting
You still have a chance for the BFP. My sister with all 4 pregnancies had to be one week past AF prior to BFP showing up. Test again if the AF fairy stays away and have a very Merry Christmas.

Thanks for your encouragement!  I will wait and see if the AF fairy stays away!  If it does I will test again.  For some reason it always comes the day after I test.  I hate it!!  Oh well, we'll see!  Tak care and Merry Christmas to you too!  When are you testing?

I am only 8dpo so probably not until actual period is due which is 12-28-05. I always spot on cd12, so if no spotting and still elevated temps I will be very exctied.
