ovulation after Gonal F injections

I have been taking 150 units of gonal F I went in for U/s on day 11 and the follicles were only 12 and 13 the md had me take 3 more days of shots, I have an appointment today and i am in pain, I have a lot of pressure in the lower abdomen, is this a good sign that the follicles have matured, also does a mature follicle mean a mature egg??

I would say that the pain and pressure is mature follicles and yes that does mean eggs. If the follicles have gotten to the correct size then they will release the egg. Ovulation should happen in the next couple of days if this is the case. Good Luck I hope this is your month.

I have been through it twice.  Yes, you will be in pain.  I called my ivf nurse during the first round.  She said it is normal as your body does not naturally mature that many eggs at once.  They got 17 eggs first round and 22 second round.  It does sound like you have a couple more days to go.  Hang in there...  it will be worth it. Hello... Yes I guess it will be painful when they are mature...that happened with me when I was on clomid... I would have 4 mature follicles (eggs) and I was in pain for days... I always called the Dr. and he told me that I may even have some pain after O becuase the corpus leutum (sp?) was then forming... How long have you been taking the Gonal F.... I start mine this Sat.,,,  Do you have the pen that is filled with many amounts and you "click" it to the correct amount???? I am soooo confused!!!   Good luck to you!!! Jacquie
