ovulation after miscarriage

by eai324, May 17, 2008 06:11PM
Do yo ovulate 14 days from the day you believe the baby died or the day you started bleeding. I just miscarried and stopped bleeding yesterday and I want to know when I can expect to ovulate?

There is no hard and fast rule.  It takes a few months for things to get back to normal for some women and for others just a few weeks.

You actually ovulate about 10-14 days BEFORE your next period (with a normal cycle). After a miscarriage it is pretty darn hard to predict when it will happens since your cycle will be all screwy. For me I didn't even get a period for 6 weeks after my miscarriage.

If I remembered correctly, I didn't have my regular period back until at least 1 month or more later since your body begins all over again. Best of luck to you.
