I wrote in a few days ago, about having a cerclage and having cramping,I have been on pain medicine for almost a week now I only take 2 sometimes 2 and a half and I was wondering if my baby would become addicted to it.The pain seems to be going away so I will not be taking any more,I am still early in my pregnancy only 19 weeks,so if anyone out there may know something about this I would greatly apprieciate it..... Thanks...
If you stop the pain medication now there is no way that baby would be addicted at birth. I am on percocetPercocet 10/325 Percocet 10/650 Percocet 2.5/325 Percocet 5/325 Percocet 7.5/325 Percocet 7.5/500 for pain and also take them very seldom. There are just times when you have to be able to function and if you are in that much pain is that any better for the baby? probably not. I sometimes too feel guilty but try not to worry about it and as long as you aren't taking them just for fun I would think it would be ok. Good Luck!! GingerGinger Ginger root
